Lots of parking. Bathroom was spotless. Well stocked with tea, coffee and continental breakfast items (The Bell currently doesn’t offer a cooked breakfast). The pub restaurant was epic - fantastic menu with additional ‘specials’ and great desserts. Obviously popular with locals and repeat diners. The pub bar was friendly and a good range of ales on tap. Service was superb throughout and I’d recommend The Bell unreservedly. Points to consider; pay upfront or on the night if your stay if you want an early exit! No staff on site until 10:00am. No fry up! Price was also reasonable. Main issue was that the shower did not work. The tap to adjust the heat was broken so it only gave freezing cold water. Luckily we were headed home so just decided to shower when we got back. There were also a few black hairs around the room. The matress wasnt that comfortable but the pillows seemed to be new and were decent. The room itself and the facilities were good enough. Absolutely amazing stay at the Bell. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with kindness and professionalism. The room was cosy, but completely adequate overlooking the green. Plenty of towels, couple of bottles of water in the fridge, good tea/coffee facilities. Shower was very good. Light sleepers may be affected by cars leaving the venue via the gravel car park and the in-room fridge switching on during the night. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good selection of beers to choose from and an option to have dinner there. Separate entrance/exit from the pub entrances, very useful indeed.
