The Blue Cottage at North Lake has been completely refurbished with 2 main levels featuring a modern yet rustic lake house atmosphere. The kitchen features new appliances and the large new deck is a great place to dine and absorb the beautiful sunsets. North Lake is a 65 foot deep, 132 acre spring fed lake where water recreation is fun and easy with a nice sandy beach, clear water, a new dock and many water toys including kayaks and paddle boards. A sunfish sailboat and a new Bennington Pontoon Boat are rentable. Alongside the dock is an available boat lift as well as great fishing with many bass, perch and blue gill ready to strike your lure. Adirondack chairs surround the fire pit and two new large TV's offer additional nighttime entertainment in addition to star gazing from pier.

Location: 35 minutes from Lake Michigan, 20 minutes from downtown Kalamazoo, 15 minutes to Meijers. Lake Michigan resort towns such as South Haven, Saugatuck and Holland are less than 1 hour away. Timber Ridge Ski Resort is 6 miles away.

Happy Place
This is the second year I chose this as a vacation site. This lake house is clean, comfortable, peaceful, roomy, rustic yet modern. The kitchen is well stocked. Thanks for adding the crockpot. The view of the lake and the sunset is exceptional. The upper deck is very nice along with the table and chairs. In the living room very comfy couch and loveseat to sit on and look out over the lake. Nice breeze off the lake when we had the sliding glass door open and the screen in place. Downstairs is roomy and offers additional living space. Having the second refrigerator downstairs was helpful as well. Clean modern bathrooms. My experience renting this property was excellent.

Second family trip
For the second year in a row we were pleased with everything at the Blue Cottage. The place was very clean, the supplies were adequate and communication with the owner was great. We rented the pontoon for the week and enjoyed fishing, swimming and just cruising around the lake with it. Thanks Brenda for another great year of memories!

North Lake Family Fun for Everyone
Our stay at the Blue Cottage was all we had hoped for and more! It was a lovely place for our family! They had everything a family with children of ALL different ages could utilize which made our stay awesome and very enjoyable. The kitchen is very well-stocked! They have just about any kitchen appliance you could think of! A few labels would be a bit helpful for the kitchen especially. The cottage was clean and a perfect getaway spot for families/friends. It had the perfect cottage feel with modern amenities . I can't wait to return next season with our family ! We are excited to be able to ride the pontoon boat around next year also. We were sorry that we passed on the chance to this year! We also saw the neighbors catch some pretty big bass from right off their dock! It was great! The property manager is so wonderful to work with and was very kind and understanding. Being a mom with two young girls, she answered all of my questions beforehand and was super accommodating and helpful as much as she possibly could! I cannot wait for our return trip!

2nd stay just as wonderful as the first
Our family is so thankful to have found this wonderful place! It is turning into a wonderful family tradition to gather at this perfect cottage. We enjoyed fishing off the dock, kayaking, paddle boarding, campfires and sipping coffee over looking the water in the mornings. The cottage is well stocked! Brenda is a wonderful host. She is very welcoming! Looking forward to next year!

Perfect Lake House
We stayed for a week in late June and had a wonderful time! The kids kept themselves busy with the kayaks, paddle boards, and swimming area right outside the house. The fishing was fantastic off of the pier; we caught bluegill and bass everyday! We opted to rent the pontoon so we could explore the lake. The pontoon was fantastic, the neighbors were all very kind, and the lake was never very crowded which made for an ideal relaxing vacation. Brenda was a lovely host. She responded to all inquiries very quickly and even got a little gift for the kids to enjoy during our stay. I highly recommend this lake home!

Beautiful cottage with everything you need
We enjoyed our stay at the blue cottage with our two children. The beds were comfortable, the cottage clean and beautifully decorated, the kitchen was well stocked and the location was perfect. We enjoyed the quiet lake and the kayaks and paddle boards. Our children loved the s’more kit and making s’mores over the fire near the beach. Brenda was a wonderful host and went above and beyond to make our children’s birthdays special by leaving a small collection of goodies for them. We would definitely recommend and stay again!

Lakefront getaway
My husband, myself and our senior dog Nellie enjoyed our time at this lakefront property. We especially enjoyed catching lots of goid size fish from fishing right off the dock. Owner is very pleasant to work with and always responded quickly to my messages.

The cottage on North Lake was a dream. Brenda was a fantastic host and had someone nearby to help whenever we needed something. The pontoon rental was a great added perk. Can’t wait to come back next summer!

Great experience
The house was very clean and equipped with everything we needed. Brenda kept us updated with information regarding the house. The extra touches like firewood and s'mores makings were appreciated! The lake view and sunsets were beautiful. We enjoyed the lake toys too. Location is remote for a peaceful getaway but close enough to larger cities for a quick day trip. We will definitely recommend to friends/family.

Perfect for a winter get-away close to ski resorts
The house was exceptionally cleaned and stocked for everything you need. We enjoyed the close proximity to Timber Ridge and Bittersweet ski resorts as first-time skiers. It was quiet and peaceful with a crystal clear lake for a beautiful view. We also enjoyed finding local restaurants in a variety of small towns in the area (recommend Big T in Lawton). The homeowner was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Place
Everything about this place was just what we were looking for. Entry into the lake was clean and easy. The top deck was perfect for having our dog off leash. We had meals at the table on the deck. It was so pleasant relaxing in the living room with the sliding glass door open and enjoying the view and the breeze. The kitchen was well stocked. Furniture was very comfortable.Everything was clean. Nice bathrooms. Several nice perks to make us feel welcome. Nice selection of books, games and puzzles. We used the fire pit. Host Brenda was so available and helpful. This place is A+. We would rent it again.

Fantastic House / Fantastic Location
Absolutely great hosts! Very communicative! Gave us a personal tour/history of the lake. Felt at times we had the lake to ourselves! House is very well maintained. They offered everything we needed for our stay. So close for day trips to South Haven and Saugatuck! Our boys really enjoyed all aspects of the lake! Wish there was Wifi but other than that no complaints!

I don’t even know where to start. It was immaculately clean, open, airy and felt like a cottage but with beautiful upgrades. It has everything: kayaks, paddle boards, a beautiful deck and lots of windows looking over the lake. And the owners…absolutely lovely! You’ve GOT to stay here. You’ll love it!

Blue Cottage summer holiday!
We rented the Blue Cottage to be close to our daughter who is an apprentice at the Barn Theater this summer. Our week was quiet, perfect for our dogs and our family getaway from the city! Lovely spot in the lake, perfect for 2 families with 2 kids each —bunk beds in downstairs are great. Also, Separate (upstairs avd downstairs) areas allows for teens, young to have own space, kitchen, access to outdoors/beach, Lots of options to use this house to it’s fullest capacity! But most importantly, the house was clean, efficient, right on the water and only 12 minutes to Meijer!

The perfect spot
The Blue Cottage was a perfect spot for our family to vacation this summer. The updates made to the house were well done and helped to make the place even better. The kitchen was the most well stocked of any I have seen. The beds were all comfortable, towels and linens were in good supply. The kayaks and paddle boards were a big hit with our grandkids and us adults as well. The dock was great for fishing and mooring my husband’s fishing boat. The lake is the perfect size and provided a great backdrop for sunsets. The neighbors were friendly and helpful, as well. We had a slight problem when a storm came through and water splashed in over one of the sliding glass doors downstairs. I contacted Brenda and she responded quickly. In fact, her husband flew in from Boston that weekend to address the problem. Amazing! I can’t say enough about how great this house was for helping us make some wonderful memories! We’re hoping to get back there next year. Thanks Brenda and family for a wonderful vacation!

A beautiful place to stay!
This was a perfect cottage for our family! This lake property has a calm, quiet feel with welcoming neighbors. The cottage was well stocked with the things you will need! We also appreciate the paddle boards and kayaks for fun on the lake! The host was available and left special little touches in the cottage for our arrival. We are looking forward to our stay next year!
