“Phenomenal hotel!! From the moment I walked in my room, I knew that this would be preferred choice for my next Chicago area visit. Great staff, especially the restaurant staff!! Beautiful property. Close to everything, including train!! Only cons: If you book through a 3rd party app (Expedia), let them know immediately or wake up to daily charges. Also, the $50 early check in fee... if my room is already ready, I don't understand the fee. Other than that, you'll have no regrets with The GEM of……

“the house was in a perfect spot close to entertainment and food and the navy base also the owner was amazing … the house has a huge projector tv great for movies and games plus a garage that i put my car in… if you are going to need a place to stay in north chicago this house is the place to go not bad pricing and very clean… the owner of the house is was polite and friendly… i would definitely rent his house again ”

“Overall the house was great. One thing is that the lake isn’t great for swimming. The bottom is rocky and one person cut their foot pretty badly. Not the fault of the host, just something to be aware of. For the house I’d recommend more dish towels for the kitchen. There was only one towel for the kitchen. Some of the soap dispensers were filled with a gross smelling body wash, and one of the dispensers weren’t refilled before our stay. There was a swim diaper left in the fire pit. Again,……
