"We found La Maison extremely convenient midway between Bari airport and our cruise port in Taranto. It is a family establishment, very clean and safe. I think it may have been a language barrier issue as we don’t speak Italian and he doesn’t speak English and he didn’t have much patience for translating. "This place is a jewel in Altamura! Rooms are brand new with everything you might need and spacious. They have an AMAZING SPA. We booked it for an hour and 15 minutes and cannot say enough good things about it. You are by yourself and they have sauna, steam, jacuzzi and more. The showers of hot and cold water are u ique. "The Pianelle Resort is beautiful and is in a great location in Matera, with many restaurants and attractions easily walkable from there. The rooms are spacious, beautiful and very unique. Shuttle service from a parking garage is easy, so visitors should not be concerned about not being able to park at the resort. The front office staff was great and their recommendations of restaurants and tours were spot-on. The morning breakfast was excellent with plenty of delicious options. We highly recommend. "
