Very nice experience and looking forward to visiting again..
We had an amazing time at this outstanding beachfront property! This was the perfect place to unwind and reconnect with our family. Our group included children from 3 years old to 12 years old, parents and grandma. We loved every minute of our time spent at this property. For a summer stay the air conditioned bedrooms were a most. We could not have asked for a better location on the North Shore with Shark’s Cove, Foodland and the food trucks a short walk or bike ride away. Ted’s and other North Shore treats were not much further the other direction. The view from the porch and yard was an amazing start and end to every day. We all found ourselves gathered on the porch in the mornings, afternoon and evenings; when we weren’t in the water or exploring the North Shore. We loved the beach in front of the house and explored up and down the beach. We had a great time in the water, and calmer and quieter beaches were never far away. Sunset was a must see event every night. We have never stayed in a home with a better stocked kitchen, everything we needed was there. We prepared nearly every meal at the house and found everything worked well, the barbecue was great and we didn’t want for anything (except for a teapot, which may just not have been able to find, but we know there is one now). There were plenty of linens, bathroom towels and beach towels. The garage is stocked with all kinds of toys and beach chairs. The washer and dryer are awesome. We rented bikes for the duration of our stay from North Shore Bike Rentals (Joe and Carrie are great), who dropped off bikes at the house and picked up on our last day. Bikes are a great way to explore the area as the bike path is amazing. We did not find the owner’s expectations regarding shoes, sand the hot tub, garbage, etc to be excessive as it is clear that all too often visitors do not realize the reality of living in a tropical climate, on the beach. Removing your shoes is a must in any Hawaiian home and the sand is a big issue. Yes there will be bugs, although we only saw them outside, and the North Shore is famous for its chickens (we loved the wake up call). We appreciated the owner and the house manager's attentiveness to issues. The hot tub is a wonderful addition to the property and I can only imagine is a nightmare to maintain. After spending our first weekend in Honolulu and enjoying the city, this North Shore beach house was the perfect way to truly enjoy what Hawaii is really all about.
