Overall this place was nice. You can’t beat the location. It’s extremely walkable to the harbour and a lot of great restaurants. When you get there, park out front and then go in to check-in. You will be given a parking pass to their lot behind the building. We got one of the last rooms available which was just a double bed. For 2 people the room was just too small. Barely enough room to open a suitcase. Not really the fault of the hotel, just something to note. There is a jazz bar located behind the hotel. It was very loud Sunday night. The staff was very friendly. The place is very clean. We didn’t eat at their restaurant so I can’t comment on that.

Lovely heritage building. Rooms spread over 3 adjacent locations. Fair number of stairs and parking can be tight. Lucky enough to get a main floor room as have some mobility issues. Great location 2 blocks north of wharf and close to Pier 21

young lady who greeted us was friendly, knowledgeable and thorough in reviewing where our room was located(seperate building) and where off site parking was located. Room is very small. Bathroom is roomy but almost as big as the bedroom. Configuration based on l as your of historic buildings. Hotel 10 minute walk to Drift restaurant and boardwalk.

The Halliburton is charming, cozy, quiet, and aesthetically pleasing in a period style. Its staff members are warm, professional, and helpful. Its location is ideal for walking down to the Harbourfront or downtown. The outside patio at the back looked inviting. On the flip side, I missed the detail about no elevator and hadn't expected so many (nicely carpeted) stairs. There are a few at the front door, a few more up to the lobby, 14 or so to reach the next floor; then there's a short hall walk and a few stairs to reach the bottom of the next flight of stairs, and 14 stairs up to the top floor. I'm grateful that an accommodating young woman carried my bag to my room when I arrived and a guest helped me carry my bag down the last flight of stairs when it was time to leave. I wished there'd been a small desk in the room. The windows are single-paned, which could be a problem in the winter. A notice says that cool air is vented into the room in summer. For my spring visit, raising the windows in the bathroom and bedroom cooled the room sufficiently. All that aside, I really liked The Halliburton. At my age, though, I'll book only hotels with an elevator!

The Halliburton is a cozy place just minutes from the waterfront. I have become a fan after several visits. I hope they will bring back the dining room (with another excellent chef) and I would like breakfast to be included in the daily rate. Otherwise I am so happy when I stay there -- I consider it a wonderful discovery.

Everything was lovely and the staff were very kind and accommodating. The only drawback (and it’s not the worst thing, just unexpected) is that there was a charge for breakfast. I had been under the impression that the continental breakfast was included in our Expedia price package.
