A fabulous welcome from staff. The hotel has recently been decorated, new carpets and it is spotlessly clean. However, some things are dated. Perfect for a stopover on the way to Northern Scotland. We will stay here again.

Staff were lovely, cheerful and helpful. Speaking for the room we booked only and the hallway, the place really needs updating, our room smelt of stale cigarettes, mould on the peeling artex ceiling in the bathroom and the grout was filthy. The teaspoon had remnants of food left on it, the hair dryer had melted plastic where it gets so hot and no button but was somehow still working. All the caulking from the unit was coming away, the windows were blown, the carpet throughout the hotel was what was no doubt, retaining the smells. Positive aspects, beds were clean and very comfy, great location, on site shops, relatively quiet and also dog friendly. A short straightforward drive to the city centre. Overall, ok for our needs but would not stay there again in its current state.
