“Esk View Cottage is a fabulous base for exploring the Yorkshire Moors. Its location overlooking the river is stunning and the sound of the water very peaceful and relaxing. It is a 90 second walk from the NYMR station of Grosmont which we made great use of and the steam trains gave a really charming feel. Will definitely return. ”

“Our weekend in this cottage was comfortable and cosy. There was plenty of space for the two of us and it would be excellent for families as there are two lounge areas, one very spacious on the top floor. We appreciated the efficient log burner and were provided with all the equipment we needed. The views were lovely with one side looking over a field with horses, alpacas and pheasants. Contact with the owner was excellent. A lovely place to stay.”

“Comfortable, spacious cottage with all modern conveniences. Lovely welcome pack of eggs, bread, milk and apple juice. Quiet location with a rural outlook so close to York. We even had some sheep outside our door!”

“This cottage is represented well by the photographs on the website. It had everything we needed for our stay. We are two adults and two children (15, 12) and there was adequate room for us all. There were no issues with parking directly outside the property, we managed to get a space everytime. Helmsley is a lovely place, everyone was very friendly. This cottage was an excellent base for exploring the nearby area.”
