  • A stylish cottage with an abundance of charm situated two miles from the M5, the village of East Brent is a great base for touring.

    On entering the detached property from the parking area, you are met by a stylish kitchen/diner. The kitchen area is well-equipped with an electric oven and gas hob, fridge, freezer, microwave and dishwasher. Heading into the inner hallway you will find the lounge, which has doors onto the private garden and a TV/DVD, the ideal place to relax after a day spent exploring. From here is a useful separate WC and at the end of the hallway is a cosy single bedroom. Rising from the hallway is a staircase, giving access to a beautiful king-size bedroom with a TV and a stylish en-suite shower and WC. Further along the landing is a contemporary bathroom with shower over bath and WC, a further bright and airy double bedroom and a twin bedroom.

    Venturing outside, to the front of the cottage you will find a pretty courtyard area with garden furniture and BBQ. Located directly outside of the kitchen area, it’s the perfect spot for enjoying a meal outdoors. At the other side of the house is an enclosed private garden with second al fresco dining area and a seating area, leading off from the lounge you will be sure to catch the last of the sun here. A useful garage is available for bike storage and also houses a washing machine and tumble dryer.

    Located in East Brent, tucked underneath Brent Knoll, dating back to the Jurassic period an often repeated tale is that the hillock was formed by a Giant incensed by the beauty of the Mendip Hills, he spoilt the splendid Somerset landscape by gouging out Cheddar Gorge, throwing shovels of earth to form Flat Holm, Steep Holm (islands you can day visit out in Weston bay), Brent Knoll and Glastonbury Tor.

    Perfectly located for easy access to the coast, this property is just 3.5 miles from Burnham-on-Sea, a thriving seaside town with a fabulous stretch of golden sand, perfect for paddling, lounging or playing fetch, Just 4 miles down the road is Brean Down, a National Trust site with beautiful walks by the coast. Weston Super Mare Pier is just 7 miles away with its sweeping Victorian sea front and great selection of cafes, shops, restaurants and traditional seaside amusements. Alternatively, head north to the Mendip Hills (9 miles) to enjoy the stunning landscape of flower-covered plateaus and dramatic gorges, this is an exceptional opportunity for avid bird watchers, walking & cycling enthusiasts or for a jolly good family hike with dog and picnic. While you’re there, pay a visit to Cheddar (12 miles from Burnham-on-Sea), the home of Britain’s best-loved cheese. Explore the breathtakingly beautiful Cheddar Gorge before venturing into the impressive underground caverns. The cathedral cities of Wells and Bath are accessible by car and have sites of historic interest and elegant architecture.

    The property is a 3 minutes-walk up the lane to The Knoll Pub. They offer Breakfasts to Sunday lunches, Live music and visiting Maestro’s Woodfired pizza’s truck and just 1.3miles from 3rd generation family owned farm & Brent House Farm Shop, with coffee corner, local produce and the best milk you can buy from happy field-grazing-herd-content cows.
