He was somewhat upset and rude. We were told the hosts were fine with dogs, however we needed to let them know beforehand and us bringing them would attract an additional fee. This was not mentioned anywhere in the Expedia listing and we were taken quite aback as we had no knowledge of this rule. The owner also told us he would lock up their pet chickens during our stay. Unfortunately they continued to return inside the fenced area, making it impossible to let our dogs roam outside. The owners dog also spent time outside close to the fence line. We wouldn’t suggest bringing your dog(s) unless they are fine with chickens and other dogs. We also unknowingly reversed our car directly outside the property onto a landing/entrance area which contained some convict bricks. The host again was quite upset with us and abruptly asked us to move, we in turn sincerely apologised for this (a note to future guests to park on the gravel only). These few points put a dampener on our stay which otherwise could have been very nice. A nice, private, quiet location.
