This simple cabin is perfect for someone looking for a quiet place to get away and relax.

It has three bedrooms and one bathroom, with queen beds in two of the bedrooms and two twin beds in the third bedroom.

There is a wood burning fireplace in the living room, which has a
spectacular view of Whiteside Mountain.

The large front porch is perfect for sitting and looking at the mountain, and the spacious front yard is a great place for kids to play.

The whole property is surrounded by woods, so it is quiet and secluded.

The kitchen is fully furnished and sheets and towels are provided.

This is a simple, comfortable cabin that our family has owned for years. We love it dearly and know that you will too.

Great mountain cabin!
I love this cabin. It is quaint but comfortable and many renovations have been completed since I was here last. It is near many hiking trails, and only 4 miles to either Highlands or Cashiers. I appreciate the WiFi and cable TV because at the end of the day, we crashed in front of the TV. Although I now have my own place in Whiteside Cove I will always put my overflow guests and family at the “Wee Meadow”.

Old guys get together!
Been getting together 30 + years. Use to camp…but not up to it now. Cabin better. Just what we were looking for…not fancy. Enjoyed the stay. For us cabin little too close to road.

Location and property setting was great. Home is in very poor condition.
Normally would not comment on anything less than an outstanding experience. Would suggest home is in very poor condition. Way passed time to recondition. Carpet/interior is saturated in mold.Took two days for the a/c units to somewhat neutralize the smell. Spent most of our time taking in the wonderful area avoiding the need to stay inside.Sorry for the low rating. Hopefully the honesty helps prompt changes. Your guest will appreciate your effort and the responses will then meet expectations otherwise it will become an unsafe place to stay and should be removed from listings.

great if you like the smell of mold and musty
As soon as we opened the door the over powering smell of mold/musty hit us, we locked the door and left. This was the worst VRBO we have ever seen. The dehumidifier is not enough, perhaps ten more might help. Either that or donate it for training the local fire dept.

If I had a cabin in the mountains, it would probably be like this.
The place was not fancy, but ideal for us. Pros: Kids had lots of land to play on, the cabin was ideally located between Cashiers and Highlands, and there was hardly any traffic on the road. Beds were comfy and the checkout instructions were very specific. Cons: heard nothing from the property manager, apart from the welcome email a few days prior to our stay. That's not necessarily bad, but unusual for VRBO. Also, there are some biting bugs in and around the cabin. Could not see the actual bugs, but the kids had small itching bites on their legs, backs, and under their arms. Again, not sure if that was in the cabin or outside.
