"We loved the old country pub and hospitality. After a quick walk around the village we settled in for a few ales a fantastic dinner ad a good night sleep. Our breakfast was included which was fantastic as it was a full English breakfast cooked to perfection. Loved our time there and would highly recommend for anyone"

"This hotel was hard to find. There was a Days sign but no indication that the hotel was down the adjacent path, I had to ask someone in the main service station. Better signing would be helpful, that could be seen whilst driving in the car The staff were very friendly and helpful There was a problem with the toilet seat, which I mentioned on check-out but I don't understand how the housekeeping team missed it"

"Clean staff helpful nice breakfast certainly value for money comfortable bed rooms could just do with a little maintence found bed side lights not working Hotel as a lot of charactor with it being an old building Would recommend it i will certainly stop there again when my son on leave again"

"Beautifully maintained building, the member of staff who checked us in had only been working there for 3 months but was excellent and extremely attentive. The bedding and bathroom were immaculate and the housekeeper was extremely friendly and courteous. Breakfast was well presented, the eggs were too runny but quickly"

"Nice location and a great beer garden. Stayed in river room and had lunch and dinner. Lunch was a decidedly mediocre burger for 20 quid. Dinner—fish and chips with minty peas—was excellent. Room had a lovely patio on the river but the room and furniture were tatty, especially so given the 131 quid price. Bed was quite comfortable, though. Breakfast was in an attractive breakfast room and was quite good. All in all only an OK place for the price, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to stay here again. "
