On the good note the staff was friendly and accommodating.
My room looked pretty clean on the surface. There were several hairs from previous guest left behind in the bathroom. The noise from the freeway made it hard to sleep. The guests in the hallway were pretty loud as well.
I dropped something and saw a lot of dust and debris in the corner in between the bed and nightstand.
At check-in I wasn’t asked about parking and I was so tired I didn’t think to ask. I had parked in self-park and thought my room key would get me in & out…you need a QR code. I also had to call front desk and ask questions like where the fitness facility was. (I do work in the hospitality industry and I believe these things should be brought up so guests aren’t left to ask all the questions and figure things out for themselves.)
Upon check in I got a text message saying to text the number with anything. I texted the number and waited 2 hours with no response.
the fitness facility and hallways were neglected. Two of the machines I was going to use were missing the seat/cushion. There wasn’t an out of service sign on them. Also, the water stations filter status was on RED. And there was big dust bunnies in the hallway near the vending machines.
I had stayed at The Galt House a year or two ago and had a great experience. That’s why I came back but after this last experience I won’t be so eager to return.
