“The best was to meet Javier at the reception of the hotel. He gave us all the necessary indications, really fantastic when you do not know the area. The hotel was OK, a bit run down by the years. The location was on the outside of town, but after a 15 minutes’ walk we reached town , which was really good. There were some good restaurants as well as a pub named Moose´s, which was delightful. A good stay overall. ”

“We had been travelling for 9000 KM's on a 3 week vacation and I wanted a nice cozy place to have ahot shower and relax and get ready for camping the next few days. I noticed the room didn't have a hair dryer, so I called the owner, and he had the housekeeper bring me one right away. We loved sitting on our patio chairs and just soaking up the calmness. ”

“This looks like your basic roadside motel, but it's quite lovely. The owners recently bought the place and the rooms have obviously been redone, and they're very cute and smart. Ours had a little kitchenette--I don't know if all rooms have one--but it was so nice to have! And the best thing about the Selkirk is that the owner bakes for the guests--fresh homemade pastries (along with fruit and yogurt) every morning, and homemade cookies every afternoon! It's a lovely touch and we really enjoyed...

“Nice house with a view of the lake. Close to Kettle Falls. Well stocked kitchen (could use a 2nd spatula and cooking oil). Knives were even sharp!Big BBQ for your use. Has A/C so mice and cool.Shower was awesome.Be sure to bring bug spray as there are mosquitoes Yard is big, but not fenced. A few dogs wandering free in the neighborhood so be aware if your dog is out.Lots of cherries and peaches U-Pick close by.”

“This farmhouse was a great place to stay while we explored the Hunters area. The host was very responsive and checked in on us. The farm staff also checked in on us a few times. The power was out for about 24 hours across the area but the house was equipped appropriately to keep us comfortable and safe. We would definitely stay here again. ”
