Nestled in one of the country’s fruit belts, this winery produces outstanding wines. Ask about concerts on the premises featuring great entertainment.

Located on the western edge of the Old Town portion of Niagara-on-the-Lake, Jackson-Triggs Winery produces award-winning wines that need to be savored. Have a tasting in the contemporary main building that is energy-efficient and sustainably designed. Sip red, white and sparkling wines as you gaze over acres of vineyards. The favorable soil and climate of the region have been instrumental in attracting a number of winemaking operations.

The Jackson-Triggs Niagara Estate has become internationally renowned for ice wines, although its sparkling products have also caught the attention of the wine community. Included in the list of grapes grown for production are pinot noir, Riesling, chardonnay and others. Look for the VQA label, which stands for Vintners Quality Alliance, denoting the authenticity of the wines.

The winery, named in the late 1980s after its founders, features an amphitheater as a venue for popular bands and entertainment. See the information on the summer concert series for any events happening during your stay. Tour the winery to go behind the scenes and discover how these superb wines are made. You can also stay for a chef-inspired meal.

Visit the historic town of Niagara-on-the-Lake surrounding the winery. During the War of 1812, British and American troops battled here to determine the conquering nation. Fort George, now a national historic site, changed hands until finally the British were able to claim victory, but only after the fort was burned by retreating Americans. Tour the reconstructed fort and see displays of musket practice and reenactments of battles.

Attend a live performance at the acclaimed Shaw Festival Theatre. The Shaw Festival has been operating since 1962 and now features popular productions beyond the plays of George Bernard Shaw. Drive less than 30 minutes to iconic Niagara Falls, one of the most powerful waterfalls in the world.

Find the Jackson-Triggs Winery on the western side of Niagara-on-the-Lake, about a 1-hour drive east of Hamilton, Ontario, or north of Buffalo, New York. The winery is accessible to wheelchairs and open most days year-round. Purchase tastings by the flight or wine by the glass.
