Located within 5 miles of the Joshua Tree National Park entrance and a short 5 minute drive to town. We have created the perfect place for a peaceful desert retreat where you can relax, unwind and recharge. AMENITIES Brand new large kitchen Brand new walk-in shower with rain head & hand held sprayer Record player Blackout blinds Endless views Dark Skies Propane Fire Pit • HOUSE This house is an ADU on our personal property with its own space and land. It is a studio (bedroom without walls or doors) and the house has its own driveway for privacy. • LIGHT The house has skylights that do not have any coverings. That means that when the sun rises, it can be bright in the house. We do have blackout blinds that cover the entire length of the glass wall for privacy. • NOISE There is a fence that separates the two homes for privacy but you may hear our dog or pig roaming around in our yard. Both come inside at sunset. There are delivery trucks (USPS, UPS and FEDEX) that come to the main house regularly. They do not come to your side of the property but if the blinds are open in the back haus, you may be able to see them coming up our driveway (not your driveway, you have a separate driveway). • PETS Pets off all kinds are NOT allowed. • A/C & HEATER Back Haus is cooled and heated by a central hvac system to keep you comfortable all year long. • FIRE Due to the location and a current fire ban there is a strict no open flames fire policy BUT the propane fire pit located outside if allowed. If it is discovered that you have started an outside fire, in a fire pit, using fireworks or other open fire (propane excluded when used IN the propane firepit and propane grill provided) means your rental agreement will be terminated and there is a $200 fine. • WIFI Desert wifi can be super spotty and can go in and out. We have the best service for our rural area (spectrum) which has been dependable and fast for us to work from home. • GUESTS You are not permitted to have any guests on the property beyond those included in your rental agreement unless you request and receive permission from us. That includes day guests and over night guests. • IDENTITY VERIFICATION You will receive a text or email from Guest Ranger that will ask you to verify your identity and submit a picture of a government issued ID and a selfie. This information will be used to verify that the booking guest matches the credit card used and to help reduce any issues with identity theft. This process is mandatory to complete the booking. The data is protected in a hash-encrypted vault following data security standards including GDPR. Data-input in the vault is encrypted in a two-way function where information is scrambled using an encryption key and unscrambled later using a decryption key. On top of that, we use hashing to add an extra layer of security using a one-way function where a unique message digest is generated from an input file or a string of text. No keys are used. By renting this property, guest acknowledges that they have read, understand and accept the terms listed above. Don't want to drive into the National Park but want to be able to see the beautiful scenery surrounding the home? We can connect you to a local hiking guide who can plan a trip based on your preferences and the best part.. many times the hikes begin right from your front door! • PRIVATE IN-HOME MEDITATION, REIKI & SOUND BATHS Connect with your soul during your desert stay. Experience a private or small group session of kundalini yoga, meditation, and/or sound bath by private teacher and energy guide. Reiki energy alignment sessions also available. It was immaculate. There were so many special touches , games, bathrobes, record player . The location was ideal for exploring Joshua Tree National park. Amazing communication about the house and the surrounding area. A beautiful house. Would definitely stay again if in the area. Convenient location, beautiful, modern, comfortable, well-maintained....can't say enough...wish we could have stayed longer! Relaxing…hope to book again. This is the first time I’ve booked a vacation rental and the space exceeded my expectations based on the photos…this place is MORE spacious and elegant with a bay of windows that capture the beautiful view, skylights in the high ceiling, lots of storage and convenient appliances. . The quiet outdoor sitting area is magical and as we hung out around the fire pit….we saw beautiful desert birds and animals…including two sweet quail that greeted us the first day. The neighborhood was quiet and the space felt private from the main residence. Refreshing European layout in the midst of the desert. Location conveniently near the West entrance and main road, with very dark sky during new moon for stargazing. Driveway is surrounded with cactus garden on both sides. Unit is fully furnished with soap shampoo kitchenware, TV and internet and even records of old classics. Very stylish and swanky unit.
