Sjøberg Hotell og Ferieleiligheter

Sjøberg Hotell og Ferieleiligheter

10/10 Excellent
"Absolutely loved my stay at Sjøberg Ferie! The setting is beautiful, but it’s the people who made it such a memorable experience. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and kind—the sort of people who make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The waterfront is gorgeous, with charming little sailboats, rolling hills and sheep grazing in the surrounding countryside. Sitting outside on the deck with a cold beer and watching those incredible sunsets was one of the highlights of my trip. It’s such a peaceful place to slow down and enjoy Norway’s beauty. The food was okay, and the beer was cold and very good, but the hospitality was exceptional. They even offered me a fishing rod so I could head down to the wharf and fish for mackerel! That simple gesture says so much about the people here. What stayed with me most was the feeling of being surrounded by kind, trustworthy people who wanted me to enjoy my stay. Thank you to everyone at Sjøberg Ferie for making it so special. An absolutely amazing experience, and somewhere I would happily return to!"

Central Guest House - Private Bathroom

"Great place for budget travelers. Has everything you’ll need. Washers and dryer are almost always in use by staff washing sheets so you have to constantly check hoping one might come available. Make sure you get all your info about check in before you arrive! You will need to contact the host direct using the number provided. Neither me, nor another person trying to check in got any info. I was left outside for over 30 mins, at 9pm, calling the host about 10 times before he eventually called back and I found out what room I was in and how to get into the lockbox. There is clearly a disconnect between the app and the host, or the notification process as a whole. He stated he sent info and it sends automatically but it was clearly not sent through the app messages or to my email. There is parking. However, you need to have an extremely small car, or a Tesla as a maximum size. I had a Skoda Superb SW Tdi 4X4 and for a normal person it would be too big to get back there past a Tesla. But I drive a fire truck for a living so I’m good maneuvering through tight spots. Either that or you have to knock on doors to figure out who drives what and work it out with the other tenants (which I had to do to move my vehicle closer to the front 2 spots as I was leaving at 4am before anyone else. The car in the 3rd spot wouldn’t be able to get out). Getting in around the second vehicle I was literally millimeters from hitting the Tesla on the left, or the wall on the right."

"I booked this hotel since it said it had parking. I stayed here at the beginning of my trip and I was able to get a spot. But on my return at the end of my trip there was no available parking. I had researched and there was a 24 Hour garage about a 7 minute walk so that was not bad. I felt safe in that garage. Just at the end of the day and $380 a night it would have been great to have parking at the hotel even though you pay separately for it. Staff is great. Very clean hotel. They have a delicious breakfast. The hotel is great. I would stay again. Just be aware though parking can be available you should be prepared to park elsewhere and walk to hotel."
