“The grounds are incredibly beautiful. Its right on the water with beautiful falls flowing through the property. The hotel is well maintained. There is a free shuttle to Kenmare which is only a few min away. The town of Kenmare was so quaint with great restaurants and pubs. We ate at the Stables Restaurant at the hotel one night which was excellent. We went to town for dinner the 2nd night which was also an excellent experience. We used the tennis courts and spa. “First the plusses: incredibly friendly and helpful host, delicious cooked-to-order breakfast (included), with homemade bread, beautiful and bucolic setting on an active farm about 2 miles outside Kenmare - loved the sheep sounds. Minuses: it was the middle of a heatwave, lots of flies and no AC/fan. There were water/toilet flushing issues. And there should be a note in the listing that payment is cash only! The place desperately needs some updating - as long as your expectations are not high,……
