The owners have thought of every creature comfort for your relaxing holiday in Cumbria with this colourful contemporary-style home. You’ll find a variety of walking trails nearby. Venture to Barrow Fell (1.5 miles) and breathe in the fresh air and stunning vistas, or, if you’re a seasoned hiker, try the Coledale Horseshoe. Take the short drive to Keswick (2.5 miles) and visit the Derwent Pencil Museum, Puzzle Place house of illusions, and the Theatre by the Lake. Don’t miss the former home of Cumbria’s greatest bard, William Wordsworth, in Grasmere (16 miles) where he and his sister Dorothy created a wonderful wild garden with local plants.
Step inside this charming holiday home where you’re greeted with contemporary interiors and an open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area. Take a step from the living area up to the compact kitchen where meals are a breeze with the electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, and microwave; there’s also a convenient washing machine. Enjoy family film nights on the smart TV in the living area by the wood burner-effect electric fire. When the day is done, venture up open tread, cottage-style stairs, under a sloping roof, to find a double bedroom with enviable views towards Helvellyn and Skiddaw, a single bedroom, and a family bathroom with a shower and WC. ( Please note young children will need to be supervised on the open tread stairs )
Outside, there’s an outbuilding/boot room – the place to store muddy boots and bicycles after a fun day on two wheels. There’s a gravelled seating area and a picnic area for al fresco afternoons. You’ll also find off-road parking available here for one car, and a shop and a pub with food less than half a mile away.
