Charming Rose Lake beach house

One of the few remaining vintage cottages on Rose Lake. Featuring fantastic views and a sandy beach. This updated (but still old-school) airy cottage is a great escape for rest and relaxation, or activity and adventure.

There are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed, the other with a full. The sofa in the living room converts to a full, and the loveseat on the porch has a pull-out twin.

Whether it’s using the available kayaks, fishing, swimming, or just looking to get away, this cottage is a perfect destination. With one of the best views and sandy a shoreline, you’re sure to enjoy.

Biking and hiking trails are close by for exploring and evenings spent around the campfire provide lasting memories.

Rose Lake is a 370 acre all-sports lake located in Osceola County. Travel times from Grand Rapids area are less than 1.5 hours, and Detroit area less than 3 hours. Conveniently located for day trips along Lake Michigan’s shoreline, sand dunes, Traverse City, Frankfort, and many other popular destinations.

I’ve added some driveway entrance sequence photo to the album, as finding the cottage can be tricky. Just look for the road marker and then make a left (U-turn) into the next driveway. Parking is at the back of the cottage at the top of the short stairway. There’s room for 2 vehicles on the grass parking area.

Top Notch Hosts and Property
Loved our holiday weekend stay at the lake. Craig and Steve, the brothers who host the property, are right next door and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. House was clean and well kept. Property is in the perfect spot. Great family friendly atmosphere along the waterfront.

Nice spot on the lake
Tucked in a calm spot on Rose Lake, there is a nice 'treehouse' feeling deck overlooking it. Not too far to take day trips to Luddington, Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes, etc. Second time staying and enjoyed both times.

Short weekend getaway
We loved our stay for the weekend! The house is cozy and perfect for what we wanted. It rained most of one day but there were games and we still had a great time. My kids loved fishing off the dock and roasting marshmallows. The water was sandy although my kids were more into fishing. We’re hoping to go back one day!

The perfect stay!
Our stay was wonderful. Exactly everything we wanted/needed! The lake was beautiful and my husband fished everday. He caught at least 60 fish and was in heaven. Cottage was cute and the beds were very comfortable. The cottage was stocked with everything we needed. My favorite part was kayaking and enjoying the beautiful lake/scenery. We are definitely looking to come back in the near future. Thank you Craig and Steve for the great stay!

Peace and Serenity
This is the perfect little get-away for a peaceful and quiet few days away. It was a clean, simple cabin and exactly as listed. The porch and deck are lovely and the view was just gorgeous. We were there in the fall and the foliage was just amazing. There is a substantial grocery store in the little town of LeRoy along with a Dollar General for any, well, general needs you have. The cabin is quite near the White Pine Trail, which is wonderful for bike riding or walking. (and maybe snowmobiling?) Craig is quickly responsive and a great host.

We had a girls trip and Loved! Everything was great and all the people we met were so nice! The neighbor..think brother. Was so nice, made sure we had firewood. Place was super cozy and perfect location to enjoy water! Pay it forward...left charcoal, light fluid, grill/fire lighter/ TP, mustard, ketchup, oil. Camp fire starter...etc. Great place! We had a wonderful stay at this cottage. Very clean, cozy and comfortable beds. Great location on water. The views from porch were amazing. My husband and I throughly enjoyed kayaking and fishing every day. Cottage is only an hour 15 minutes from Luddington, Frankfort and Traverse City for day trips. Cadillac is only 20 minutes away. Highly recommend. Hope to return for another week of relaxation.

Wonderful Summer getaway
My husband, two sons (ages 7 and 4), and I stayed here for a week. It is a wonderful lakefront property with a great view and location on the lake. We enjoyed the kayaks, canoe, swimming area, and sitting around the fire the most. It is in a secluded area, not much else in the surroundings except for other lake properties, and we preferred it that way. It was nice to just bring everything that we needed and enjoy the most of what the property has to offer. It was clean, comfortable, and a perfect size for our family of 4. We definitely recommend this to others who are looking for a similar vacation!

Great week on Rose Lake!
We had a wonderful time at the cottage. Plenty of room for us and our 3 kids. They enjoyed swimming, fishing off the dock and we were able to bring our bass boat and spend the days on the lake. We also appreciated the use of the kayaks! Fire pit and picnic table were used every day. Firewood was supplied which was awesome. All of our questions were answered quickly and we had everything we needed. It was a great experience. Thank you so much! My only comment, just like posted in the listing, is that parking is kind of funny so we had to get creative with 2 cars and a boat trailer. But we were able to make it work! Just something to keep in mind.

Wonderful stay
I love Rose Lake, it is the perfect size and water temperature; I swam every day I was there. The view was perfect, the enclosed front porch which is open to the living room, kitchen and dining area allowed us lake views which were very peaceful and scenic. We didn't use the pullout beds, my friend and I switched off between one of the beds and the couch and my sister used the other bed. It is very quiet on this end of the lake except for an occasional boat and I paddled to the sandbar, that was far enough for me and there was still plenty of lake to go. We went to Travler's bar and grill and it was very nice, I'm sure Mr. Pibs is nice too. We went a little too late, 9:00 one night and the kitchen was closed except for pizza so plan accordingly. All the drives we took to explore were scenic and beautiful. Cadillac is the closest, but pretty busy most times, but you can find almost anything there as far as shopping, we liked the save a lot and dollar general. Craig is very responsive and I think it's his brother next store (very nice).The lawn is perfect for sitting by the water and I hung up two hammocks and it was very relaxing. We had great weather but of course no guarantee of that when you go! Thanks Craig
