Gîte de l'Audurière

9th century house with 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, 4 toilets, two of which are independent, in the countryside but close to the town of Les Herbiers and 12 km from the Puy du Fou park with all its amenities. You will appreciate its magnificent setting with its 2 ponds full of fish, its 300-year-old oaks on more than 4 ha of hilly terrain and absolute calm, its wild life with frequent visits from deer, squirrels, as well as the nests of many birds including ducks and gray herons. The ponds are populated by perch, carp and perch, roach... Fishing is possible, a boat is available as well as two canoes and kayaks. The house is very comfortable, surprising because the wood dominates inside, which makes it particularly warm, it has a very large billiard room library (76 m²) and a renovated kitchen dining room. A covered and heated swimming pool available to our visitors, as well as a real bowling alley.

A wonderful place to stay
L'Audurière exceeded our expectations in so many ways. Spotlessly clean, very well equipped, and with plenty to keep all the family (across three generations) happily entertained. A warm and friendly welcome was matched by the comfort of the gite itself. The pool is marvellous, the lakes and grounds spacious, the setting tranquil - it's a beautiful place to stay and made for a memorable family holiday. Thank you, Anne and Olivier!

A Perfect Family Retreat: Unforgettable Stay at L'Auduriere Les Herbiers
Our stay at L'Auduriere Les Herbiers in Les Herbiers, France was an absolute dream come true for our family of nine. From the moment we arrived, Olivier and Anne, our gracious hosts, made us feel incredibly welcome and attended to our every need. This countryside gite provided the perfect setting for a week-long escape, offering an array of amenities and a location that exceeded our expectations. The gite itself was a haven of relaxation and entertainment. The indoor swimming pool, ping pong table, bulles court, fishing pond with a boat, and pool table kept us entertained throughout our stay. The Wi-Fi was excellent, allowing us to stay connected and plan our daily adventures. The comfortable beds and well-equipped bathrooms provided a restful retreat after our busy days. One of the highlights of our stay was the kitchen, which was stocked with all the necessary appliances and tools. We took advantage of this and created unforgettable family dining experiences together. The walking trails around the lake offered a chance to immerse ourselves in nature and enjoy the serene surroundings. Situated in the countryside just outside Les Herbiers, the gite offered a peaceful and idyllic setting. We were delighted to discover many excellent restaurants nearby and the popular Puy du Fou theme park within easy reach. The spacious gates of L'Auduriere comfortably accommodated all nine of us, and the immaculate cleanliness and tasteful decor added a touch of elegance to our stay.

Tranquillity in Les Herbiers
We feel so, so fortunately to have found this wonderful property and its lovely hosts. From the moment we arrived, we were delighted: the pictures don't capture quite what a gorgeous setting this is. The rooms are comfortable, with plenty of different options for larger parties, and the rest of the accommodation is absolutely brilliant for families and groups... It's been thoughtfully designed, is stocked well with equipment and necessary items in each room, and every space is a pleasure to be in. We spent our days relaxing in the pool room (so versatile with the moving doors and roof), the beautiful lounge with pool/billiards table and in the large grounds. Our favourite spot was down by the lake, where we saw a myriad of wildlife including Kingfishers, otters and various waterfowl. This is a place to get away from the pace and stress of life, and as a base to access many other local amenities - it strikes a brilliant balance. The welcome from Olivier and Anne was wonderful, and their communication throughout our stay was timely and helpful. We very much hope to return one day to this idyllic place, and will remember it fondly always.

We had the most wonderful, peaceful and relaxing stay here thoroughly enjoyed by all. We were 3 Families and there were plenty of space. The setting is very beautiful and picturesque but a short 10 minute drive to a local town. There was plenty to do. Our host was very attentive and helpful at all interactions. Overall a fantastic holiday had by all and we’d love to visit again.

Beautiful villa, perfect for an away from it all break
This was a wonderful place to stay, with plenty of land to explore plus a small lake complete with rowing boat! The views from the villas were really attractive and we saw deer on several occasions. It really is the ideal location if you want to get away from it all and enjoy the French countryside. The highlight of the villa was the wonderful pool, which we all enjoyed, with its retractable pool cover and roof. The bedrooms were comfortable and the bathrooms served two families of 5 well. The hosts were kind and welcoming and easy to communicate with. Overall highly recommended!

Si vous souhaitez un endroit pour vous ressourcer où il fait bon vivre ce gîte est idéal. Très beau, bien équipé, bonne literie et beaucoup d’activités à faire sur place (fléchettes, ping-pong, billard, canoë, pêche, pétanque,..) sans oublier la formidable piscine couverte ou non selon votre choix et le temps à la température idéale. Les propriétaires sont très disponibles, agréables et serviables. Je recommande !!!

Une maison incroyable, spacieuse et moderne avec le charme de l'ancien. Une magnifique piscine attenante au salon. Excellent logement avec beaucoup d’occupation, même en cas de mauvais temps. Propriétaire tres gentil et (très rare de nos jours) extrêmement serviable et attentionné (cadeau de bienvenue, possibilité de récupérer les courses au drive, équipement complet yc papiers toilettes sopalin et sacs poubelles, s’occupe d’évacuer les ordures), et toujours disponible. Nous avons passé un très bon week-end. Le gîte est très agréable avec sa belle vue où on se promène aux étangs, Pêche et havre de paix. Bonne partie de rigolade auprès de la piscine, des jeux ping-pong et billard. Le gîte est très bien équipé et vaste. Nous gardons l'adresse pour revenir en famille ou avec des amis. Merci aux propriétaires pour l'accueil, leur gentillesse et disponibilité. A très vite.

Idéal pour un groupe d'amis avec enfants
Super week-end entre amis. Nous étions 14 adultes et 2 bébés. La maison est grande et dispose de grandes pièces de vie (cuisine, salon, piscine). Chacun peut vaquer à ses occupations sans être les uns sur les autres (bibliothèque immense, jeux de sociétés, piscine, grand jardin avec plan d'eau...) L'espace salon et la table de la cuisine permets de se réunir à 14 adultes tout en restant à l'aise. Nous n'avons pas pu profiter de la terrasse compte tenu de la météo mais celle ci est équipée d'une grande table également. Rien à dire tout était parfait 👌. Les propriétaires vous accueillent avec plaisir et sont très disponibles. Super expérience

Beau WE en famille
WE en famille d'une quinzaine de personnes. Un accueil exceptionnel pour une très belle location avec des activités pour tous (piscine, billard, plan d'eau). Nous avons également apprécié l'immense terrain agrémenté de chênes centenaires. Tout cela en fait une excellente destination pour un groupe. Merci !
