We asked days prior if they had cot or children bed since we were visiting with our foster toddler. They had confirmed that we would have access to a play pen. When we got there, the reception told us they did not and never had. She did not offer any type of help. This was really inconvenient as we would have packed differently had we known. We had to scramble to make something work which led to a very poor sleep for us.
The morning after, I was told that she was a young new hire and likely just did not know. The day receptionist was kind and gave me the manager card. While I appreciate the gesture, it puts further strain on us rather than being of service, really.
First time we stayed, the room was very stinky and it didn’t feel very clean. This time around, it was clean and smelled good. However, with the service we received, I’m on the fence.
We often travel from North to Grande Prairie and this place was going to be a recurring stop for us as our family is growing (foster/baby on the way) and we will visit more places. I am planning on changing our routes so that we don’t have to stop there if we can avoid it. I don’t want to add more stress to our plates with inconsistent service and accommodations.
