I will Definitely stay here again. Friendly staff, clean rooms, good continental breakfast, and great service. We left my grandsons favorite blanket there and when I called They promptly mailed it to me.

Very pleasant rustic hotel in scenic area. I stayed one night as part of a scenic trip to Dinosaur National Park and Flaming Gorge National Monument. I enjoyed their quirky lawn displays as well.

Beautiful location at the start (or end) of Flat Tops scenic byway! So quiet and peaceful. We slept in Sage Hill with windows open to the cool breeze. Note that Sage Hill has a bed in the loft and you climb a ladder to get to it. There's also a twin size bed in a little nook. Restaurants and groceries are nearby in Meeker. Great staff.

For most visitors, the best area to stay in Maybell is directly within the town center due to its extremely small size and limited lodging options.
Maybell's town center is essentially the area surrounding the intersection of US-40 and CO-318. Here, you'll find the Maybell General Store, which serves as a central point for local information and basic necessities. The layout is straightforward, with a few dispersed buildings making up the entirety of the community.
Couples looking for a quiet, remote getaway will find Maybell appealing. It offers a true escape from city life, with vast open spaces and easy access to outdoor activities like stargazing and exploring the surrounding high desert landscape. The lack of commercial distractions ensures a focused, undisturbed experience together.
Travelers seeking a base for outdoor adventures, particularly those interested in exploring the nearby Sand Wash Basin Wild Horse Area, will find Maybell to be the most convenient lodging point.
