Location was excellent! So close to city centre, restaurants, Bristol Beacon etc
The lady on reception struggled to understand us when we asked about the car parking and if we had paid prior to arrival. Her colleague JJ sf to help her out.
Room smelt of fish when we first arrived so we went to Primark and bought a room freshener which helped (we didn't report it as only there one night, a couple in front of us at reception when we were checking out were asking to move to a different room as their current room had a bad smell to it).
The room itself was dark and dingy. However the beds were comfy and we slept well.
The window opened just over a cm and was dirty and run down.
The bathroom was mainly clean apart from where the screen joined the bath, it hadn't been cleaned in a long time.
The breakfast was not worth what we paid for it, average at best, fruit platter didn't get replenished and looked as though it had been out for a while and hot food just tasted bog standard.
Car parking is very expensive at £19 and more than we were expecting as on Expedia who we booked through, says it's £15 for 24 hours and we felt that was expensive as the spaces are very tight although having parking opposite the hotel was very useful.
One of the lifts was out of order although there was no sign to say so, they were extremely small and slow so it felt like you waited ages for it to arrive.
Overall, we felt that the room and food was very expensive for what we expected and paid for.
