"Disappointing stay - room was described as 'deluxe' but was on the small side and being up in the eaves of the roof meant one of us had to duck to get in and out of bed. No turn down / refresh on day 1, no waste bin, small but basic things - especially at the price paid. Staff although friendly, were difficult to find (only available via WhatsApp ??), reception never staffed. Overall a great a shame as the hotel has a beautiful setting and grounds. We wint be returning. "

The sea temperatures are also warmer, which is pleasant for beach activities or boat trips along the Bristol Channel. This period is particularly good for families looking to enjoy the beach and local attractions without the chill of the off-season.

For couples seeking a quieter experience, late May or early September can be especially appealing. The main tourist season crowds are thinner, but the weather remains agreeable for walking the South West Coast Path or visiting the nearby Exmoor National Park.
