“A one night stay plus breakfast. Good. No issues. Not that it was an issue for my stay but for future reference to consider permitting dogs. Maybe allocate some rooms for o/night stay with dogs. Wonderful countryside location. You advertise walks. Missing out on a key £ market!”

“Large clean room with crisp sheets on the bed. Both the bed and the pillows were too firm, resulting in limited sleep I was convinced that continental breakfast was included when I booked the room. However the Expedia booking did not state that ,nor did the information sent to the Porters Lodge. The charge was though only £5 pp.”

“It is a comfortable hotel with a slightly old fashioned feel, but it is a historic building and the staff are cheerful and helpful. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable and I appreciated the heavy curtains to cut out the sunlight. The stairs to the second floor were a bit tricky for an older guest when carrying luggage, although staff would have helped. I would certainly return.”

“The room was clean, warm and comfortable. The staff were helpful. Parking was in front of the hotel, off the main street. The village had a few shops and a large town nearby. The hotel has a river at the bottom of the grounds which was lovely to sit near.”

“Our room was in an an annexe off the car park. So it was easy to load and unload the car. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were were very friendly. The location was a short drive from Leominster, which was lovely.”

“The hotel is quiet with extensive areas for guests. The Leisure suite is excellent with sauna, steam room and a spacious, well equipped gym. Breakfast has lots of choice although the options have definitely been reduced since we were last there 6-8 years ago. Parking is plentiful and the views across the valley are beautiful. The hotel is a substantial building and in places it's becoming a bit tired. However, we slept extremely well without any noise or disturbance. The limited staff are……

“This is a converted coaching inn at the junction of a few roads. Easy parking, good breakfasts and dinners, plenty of character. A bit of a downside if you’re a light sleeper with the traffic and kitchen exhaust system. Otherwise, easy place to stay.”
