“At first, we were surprised to find that the accommodation is attached to a senior residence. However, it turned out to be a really nice place to stay. The apartment was much bigger than we expected, clean, and comfortable. The location was excellent, within walking distance of the Cognac houses and the downtown area, making it easy to explore the city on foot. Unfortunately, the air conditioning broke down during our stay, but aside from that, we had a pleasant experience.”

“We started off by having difficulty int getting to the hotel. It’s in between two roads on an intersection and it makes it difficult to get in and out of the tiny car park. Check in was quick and easy and reception was very friendly and informative. However, reception is only open until 9pm which is very odd for a hotel. The room itself was very basic, but suitable. It’s very run down, which means mould around the shower, a fridge that’s sounds like a train and the gap of the front door to……

“We only stayed one night in Angouleme and this was the perfect base! Gorgeous room, comfy bed, large bathroom with lovely shower and perfect location to walk to the centre. We drove and parked in Les Halles car park (just a few min walk from the apartment), I did see a few reviews saying this was tight but we found it fine with our SUV. Reasonably priced too. Also really appreciated the lovely coffee machine in the room! ”
