About this property

Wind in the Willows Moreton in Marshes

  • Wind in the Willows, inspired by Kenneth Grahame`s beloved classic, is a charming Cotswold house in the desirable, sought-after, quieter end of Moreton-in-Marsh`s historic town & high st. Enjoy easy walks to boutiques, florists, antique shops, galleries, cafés, inns, churches and the railway station with a direct link from London Paddington. The perfect base for exploring the Cotswolds. While encounters with the characters of the book cannot be guaranteed, a little Cotswold magic certainly can.

Set over three elegant floors with traditional period features this stylish three-bedroom newly renovated retreat combines traditional Cotswold character with modern comfort and luxury. Perfect for families, couples and friends, it provides an ideal base from which to explore the beauty, culture and charm of the Cotswolds.

The property sleeps up to six guests with spacious bedrooms, each thoughtfully designed with comfort in mind. Luxury mattresses, hotel-quality bespoke linen and fresh towels there are two ensuites with shower and baths and another with a large basin and cloackroom facilities.

The welcoming sitting room offers a relaxing space to unwind after a day of exploration, while the fully equipped kitchen and dining area provide everything needed for leisurely interactive breakfasts, family meals and entertaining. Complimentary Wi-Fi, Alexa and modern conveniences are provided throughout the ground floor and the combination of a dining and sitting area offers areas to create, study, interact and enjoy whilst within each others company rather than different groups in separate rooms whilst the bedrooms are within distance of each other so as to offer privacy and retreat. Each room is designed on a character of the classic novel, therefore the ground floor and garden is designated to mole with its dark blue, green and black

Outside, guests can enjoy a charming private beautiful English garden, offering a retreat with an outdoor sofa and table and chairs for morning coffee, afternoon sunshine or evening drinks.

Whether you`re visiting for countryside walks, village exploration, Silverstone, Stratford-upon-Avon`s Shakespearean theatres, Cheltenham`s famous racing events, or simply a relaxing escape, Wind in the Willows provides the perfect luxury retreat.

We sincerely hope you enjoy the luxury of the property and feel the love of what we all know is quintessentially an aspect of Britain that we all grew up with

At the location of the property there is a floral home and gift shop, teaming with flowers and beautiful gifts, the shop is completely separate to the rest of the premises however the high street door opens into a shared corridor (separate to the shop) and then at the end of this corridor that is where the Wind in the Willows accommodation begins.

On opening the door to the Willows, you will be greeted by the sitting room area with two large sofa`s and a love seat, a coffee table that becomes a desk in which the puzzles and games are housed, a kitchen overlooking the garden which has an extendable dining table, the stairs then lead to up to your bedrooms.

Access to the garden is from the Willows front door and then directly out into the courtyard.

Your keys to the property are in a large lock box with green writing marked `WITW` which is on the high street underneath a black Victorian Lamp which is beside the shop and the door is a sage green with a fox door knocker
