This was a very nice condo. It’s been updated which makes it even more enjoyable. The beach access is extremely easy and the whole atmosphere was very pleasant. Would definitely recommend.

Mini-mart next door was convenient. BAD - only one parking pass and lot was tight. Pull out mattress not sleepable - just a sheet covering springs.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a nice stay-great weather. HE403 is a nice place. It was clean when we arrived and the towels were all nicely wrapped. There were also sheets for the sleeper sofa which impressed me. I thought it would be the thing I would need to ask for. The kitched was very good. Nice range with a large cooktop for big meals. I think there could have been a bit more cookware, there seemed to be just enough to get by without a trip to Walmart. It worked out fine in the end. My only complaint would be the bed in the Master bedroom. The mattress was too hard, in my opinion, and it bothered me all week. I'm picky about beds so who knows. Great view and not too close to the pool, so the noise was not a problem.The lobby and pool areas were always tidy. Thumbs up overall.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I planned a Labor Day holiday getaway for my husband and myself. First time in this area. Garden City Realty check in was friendly and informative. Condo could have been cleaner. A layer of dusk sat on the headboard and the windows on the inside had fingers and facial prints on them in the primary bedroom. Felt a bit of sand on the floor but i do not know how you could possibly get it all even with the rinse area coming up from the beach. Light bulb missing from the primary bathroom vanity, sink drained a bit slow in the primary bathroom. No ceiling fans: however, two fans were in the closets for use. Outlet cover was left behind the nightstand on the floor and the light switch in the secondary bedroom did not work. Refrigerator door outside looked like something spilled down the front of it. Plenty of towels (but it was a unit that sleeps six and it was only my husband and myself) and the coffee maker had the regular brewer and a Keurig. This unit and stay were perfect for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the balcony drinking our cup of coffee and viewing the waves and listening to the sound of the ocean. We will be back and highly recommended the area and the condo unit.

Previously, it hasn’t stopped us from being a return renter, but this time it was worse than the other stays. The master bedroom was (what felt like) 10 degrees hotter than the rest of the condo, again we were aware, but loved the unit so we chose to stay again this year.Also, cleaning could be a little more in depth as we found mail clippings on the bathroom counter.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at a number of units in Horizon East so our feedback balances what we liked and dislike based on that. The Pros's: The kitchen has been nicely updated and was well appointed. The appliances and washer/dryer were high quality. The beds were comfortable. Loved the keypad on the front door, thus not having to worry about keys. The beach chairs and other beach items provided were nice as well.Cons: The unit needs a keurig. We knew it did not have one and hauled ours down from home, but any modern rental should be equipped with one. The furniture was inadequate. The rental states it sleeps 6 but only has seating for 4. The 2 chairs, while a nice visual addition (beach theme) are uncomfortable. It was a race all week to not be stuck sitting in them. We felt the fridge door should swing the other way as it was awkward. Some kitchen basics were missing/unusable. There were no scissors or a spatula for flipping eggs. The baking sheet was somehow destroyed by a previous guest and not replaced. Lastly, and more directed at the management company, the bead spread was food stained, leading us to wonder if the cleaning staff are doing a thorough inspection and identifying those details. The purpose of the detailed list we provided above is to identify these items for the owner/managers. Overall the property was very enjoyable and we would recommend it!

Awesome Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My wife and I had a great stay at Horizon East. The unit was clean when we arrived and updated nicely. The view was amazing, and of course, great location. Only gripes were that the sofa is too small and not very comfy, and the master bedroom didn't seem to have much airflow. It was like the hvac ductwork wasn't correct. Luckily there was a good size fan I could set up to blow on us at night. Overall, a great condo in a great location, and wpuld happily stay there again.

Very Disappointed this year

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Really disappointed this year with Garden City Reality. Never had problems in the past but this year sucked. I understand that there’s a turnover time but if check out is 10am there’s no reason we should have to wait til 6pm to get our keys. We had access to the building via friends and watched the cleaning crew leave at 2:30pm. 3 1/2 hour gap. All our friends and family were in their condos by check in time or before. Once we get our keys and get our room there’s a note on both toilets stating “Toilet doesn’t flush”. We couldn’t get a maintenance person out until almost 10pm. First day of vacation was a total waste. I love Horizon East and will continue to go there every year but this will be the last time I use Garden City Reality

Kitchen has all basics.Hopefully will get to rent this one again. We always rent through Garden City Realty and never disappointed. Just call and someone will be there for any problem you have, i.e. helping old ladies operate the TV! LOL

The condo is within walking distance to the pier, which we looked forward to daily. Lots of closet space in the bedrooms and beds were comfortable. Overall rooms were clean including the bathrooms. One thing I would suggest is all floors do need a good steam cleaning and some sort of direction on how to use the TV for those of us who are somewhat lacking in today’s technology!

Love Garden City Beach

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit 403 was somewhat corporate in nature! By that I mean kind of sterile! Very pretty colors, loved the blue ocean theme throughout. Although, not homey at all! No guest book to sign, one book! Upon initial inspection furniture/surfaces were covered in dust, there were many light bulbs that did not work, the oven grotesquely dirty, and the cookie sheet inside was even worse...had to be replaced. The blender was on it's last leg, the toaster was rusty and overall poorly provisioned ie., we had to go to Walmart and purchase storage containers..nothing in the unit was available for storage. No problem, we got it taken care of!Facility staff were all very kind and cooperative. No issues there. Unfortunately for the owners, the unit baseboards and quarter round were dirty and falling apart. The walls were very scuffed and in areas needed painting. Floors were clean in the center of the rooms but don't look behind or under anything...ugh!Other than all that, we enjoyed the beach and the area. It is our favorite place to vacation. We really aren't too picky, but for the price we paid, someone should have paid closer attention to the unit. I suppose that is just the way these things go in the vacation rental business...nothing is perfect and we get that. This particular unit was just not friendly or welcoming!
