The restaurant itself was clean, warm and cozy, with a really inviting atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious! Our dishes were well-prepared and full of flavour. It’s clear that a lot of thought goes into the menu and the ingredients. Also they do the best cup of coffee! We were pleased to find the rooms just as wonderful. Our overnight stay was comfortable and relaxing, with everything needed for a peaceful night. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. The combination of excellent food, warm hospitality, and a comfortable place to stay makes it a real gem. It was very dark and quiet at night, allowing a great night's sleep. The inn is exactly how a country inn should be and there is an absolutely superb beer garden. The staff were all attentive and considerate. The food in the restaurant is a bit variable but is perfectly adequate and our continental breakfast was fine for us. Large green space adjacent where we could exercise the dogs. Only four rooms which were accessed by a narrow staircase. Obviously the room was more typical of an Inn room and was not modernised. However the room was spacious and the bed comfy. It was tastefully decorated with pictures/ornaments which gave it a homely feel. The en-suite shower room was very small and our shower leaked under the bottom of the shower base. It was a bit dingy. Check-in was a bit chaotic insofar as we had to check in at the bar which was very busy. The bar staff were more intent on serving customers than welcoming us. However once checked the staff were very friendly particularly those serving food.
