“It's a quiet and peaceful stay, perfect for a short getaway, the room is spotless, also we got everything we needed there. Tim and his little helper, the Rottweiler are so friendly and enthusiastic. Overall is nice, would give them a 10 out of 10!”

“My brother and I loved our stay at Akaroa’s Historic Shipping Office. This delightful accomodation is clean, comfortable, cosy and has everything needed for a great visit. Close to the water, cafes and shops. Wonderful to see such a historic building being both preserved and able to be used and enjoyed by visitors. ”

“We had a great experience right from the beginning the communication was great the place was lovely and was just what we needed for my hubby and I and 2 teens, location was great. Only thing that could be improved is the wifi very patchy and sometimes did not work at all but still 5 star stay, definitely recommend this place, and will stay again next time we are in Christchurch!!! ”

“Location is fabulous! Many lovely walks. Over to beach, down or up a couple of blocks in distance and then back along estuary or visa versa. Very tidy accommodation with everything you need. It was great to have the garage to use to store our bikes. Bottle Lake great for mountain biking not too far away.”

“We loved the waterfront location, especially during the quiet season. It is a lovely little apartment. The main bedroom has a wonderful outlook, as does the very comfortable living area. We also enjoyed our croissant breakfast on the balcony!It would have been helpful to know in advance that the kitchen facilities were rather limited, although the Russell Hobbs bench oven was helpful. “Clean space, lots of blankets heaters etc for when it’s cold and a room cooler for when it’s hot. Comfortable stay. Quite close to other bnb sites which I didn’t realise, no noise from other guests whoever so overall pleasant stay. ”
