Quiet in County Galway
The lodge is quiet!!! Our room was immaculate, the bed was very comfortable and the view of the lake from our room and the lounge was wonderful. Many thanks to our hosts, Connie and Donal, who were amazing. Breakfast was the perfect start to exploring the area. We spent time on the Aran Islands and in the fishing mecca of Oughterard. Donal and Connie know the area well and offered spot on advice and insights. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you Connie and Donal!!!

This was a beautiful location overlooking the largest lake in Ireland. Very quiet, but kind of in the middle of no where. I wasn't expecting it to be so far off the beaten path, but probably should have. If you want to be away from the city, this is the place to be. We even enjoyed watching a herd of cows being corraled down the street. The breakfast was delicious. I had french toast and my daughters said the eggs were the best they had on the whole 12 day trip. Donal and Connie were very nice hosts and gave us good direction on activities to do and avoid. The room was very clean with a nice view of the lake. I would stay here again.

For a quiet break
Our hosts were excellent. Very informative and helpful. The atmosphere was relaxing and there was no hurry for breakfast which was always freshly made to your own requirements. Breakfast was excellent. A bit off the beaten track but a good base for a good night's rest. Nearest small town is Oughterard which has good restaurant, bars and shops.

Worth The Drive!!!
This lodge is beautiful, it's a bit off of the beaten path (about 11 km) but the view of the lake is completely worth it. The owners are great and very friendly, and the room was spacious and clean.

Cozy Room & Beautiful View
Don and Connie were great! They were kind to accommodate our late arrival after a long day of travel and due to a cancellation, they offered us our choice of rooms, which allowed us a larger space for our family to relax for a few days -- a triple with ensuite. Our room had a beautiful view of the mountains and the main house offered a cozy living room for reading. Both Don and Connie were very knowledgeable about the area and offered directions/information to help outline the remainder of our trip. And let's not forget the delicious breakfast!

Irish Holiday
The host was fantastic. We were shown to our room and given tea and cookies on arrival. He was incredible in giving suggestions for places to walk in the area as well as routes to take for driving to find the best scenery, beaches, attractions, etc. He was extremely knowledgeable of the area and willing to share his knowledge with us. The room was clean and comfortable, and he prepared a wonderful Irish breakfast for us. The B&B is well off the main road but a fantastic location.

Irish tranquility
Stayed for 2 nights in July. Used as a base to explore Connemara. Hosts were lovely, very friendly with great advice on places to visit and dine out. Room had lovely view of Loch. Remote and very quiet. Fantastic. Closest village of Oughterard (15 min drive) had plenty of places to eat and drink. 'Real' Irish feel to it. Breakfast was as good as it gets and sets you up for the day. Apparently the fishing is great however, as I am no angler I can't comment! Recommended.

Lovely Place, but what a drive!
I probably would not have used the word Lodge as a description of the home, it was a lovely bed and breakfast though. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. They do have wifi but it would not work in our room, so we needed to go to the lounge area in order to use it. The Lodge is located in a beautiful area near a lake, but it is a long way down the road, GPS couldn't even find it, ended up going to someone's house to ask directions. If you don't mind the drive, which we didn't once we figured out we weren't lost, than this is a nice place to stay.

Lovely place for a night or two
Lovely place and neighbourhood in a (very) quiet area near Galway.. We almost got a suite even if only single beds were available. Breakfast was good and our hosts were very nice. Definitely a better value for money than other hotels in the region.
