The room was much more spacious than the other rooms we had previously stayed in. But I was disappointed with the room considering we were paying for the best room at the Inn. It was obvious that they were cutting back on what they provided in the room. For instance, for two people there was only one biscuit, only basic provisions in the bathroom. There was only one mug, one glass and one cup provided in the cupboard. No bath salts or bubble bath for the spa. The shower was not really great due to the water flow not really adequate for the best room in the house. The metal strip on the floor between the bathroom and living area was loose, it had a screw missing so rattled when you walked across it. There was no carpet areas, but that is understandable in a hot place like Parkes. They have a laundry facilities, visiting a family member in hospital that was such a big help. The staff were very accommodating when I accidentally locked myself out after reception had closed. The bed was super lumpy and hard.
