The Rock House was built in 1856 by Dutch homesteaders and has been thoughtfully updated with modern comforts. This charming 2-bedroom, 1-bath cottage is fully remodeled, stylish, and perfectly located near everything Pella has to offer. ✨ Why You’ll Love Your Stay Fantastic location — next to Central College, walking distance to the square, and a quick drive or bike ride to Lake Red Rock Historic charm + modern comfort — original character with updated amenities Peaceful and private — feels like a secluded retreat while still being close to everything 🌿 Outdoor Spaces Relax by the fire pit under the stars, enjoy meals on the patio for six, or sip your morning coffee while listening to the birds. The property has plenty of room to unwind and play, plus private parking for two vehicles. 🏡 Inside the Cottage You’ll have full access to the entire 750 sq ft home, including: A comfortable living room perfect for movie nights A well-appointed kitchen with everything you need to cook A main-level bedroom with a cozy king-size bed A charming upstairs loft with two twin beds A washer and dryer for guest use I love creating a comfortable stay for guests, so the home is stocked with extra blankets, quality pillows, nice soaps, and a coffee bar to start your mornings right. 📍 The Neighborhood Pella is a warm and welcoming community with so much to explore. Whether you’re visiting a Central College student, shopping downtown, or adventuring around Lake Red Rock, you’ll love coming back to your quiet sanctuary at The Rock House. 🗝 Check-In You’ll receive detailed check-in instructions the morning of your stay, and I’m always available to answer questions during your visit. We do have an exterior camera to help with property management. This house is a piece of Pella history and has been beautifully restored for our guests to enjoy. All we ask is that you treat it with the care it deserves. It is beautiful, clean, and is thoughtfully equipped. We relaxed and enjoyed the town of Pella. Close to Central College and a biking path. Everything was provided, i.e. towels, shampoo, body wash, Q-tips, toaster, microwave, etc. A caution for seniors -If there are more than 2 of you, you'll have to use the upstairs. The steps to it are very narrow - 6 inches.
