"I didn't expect it to be as remote as it was, but it was exactly what I didn't know I needed. A place to unwind. I caught bluebcrabs, spotted trout, drum, flounder, and even hooked (but not for long) a shark. And that was all without even getting in a boat. I saw a black bear, a bobcat, and turkeys on the road right outside the property when heading out for groceries around 5 pm. The sunrises were an intense tropical orange color that i haven't seen before; worth getting up at 5 for on a day...

"What a gem! We (two adults and two kids, 10 & 14) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pamlico Cottage. From enjoying our morning coffee on the pier to watching the dolphins swim by, the cottage is in a magical location. The kids loved kayaking and fishing. Mary was an exceptional communicator, making our whole experience seamless. The cottage is well supplied with everything you need, and we appreciated all the small touches like retro games, books, toiletries and a well stocked kitchen. Recommend stopping into the Trader Joe’s on the way in Greenville, otherwise Food Lion is your closest grocery store. If you genuinely want to get away from it all, this is the place for you! "

"Beautiful secluded property on the water. The place was very clean and well furnished. Out first night there we saw dolphins swimming up the cove, jellyfish, crab, hooked something huge while fishing but lost it. This is the perfect place to stay to get away from the world and relax. "

"We really enjoyed staying at the little cottage over the July 4th weekend. Little touches like provided snacks and plentiful chilled water were very nice. The exterior patio was a welcome place to sit at night. The downtown was a little far for us to walk to but could be convenient with a bike ride. Phyllis was very sweet and thoughtful throughout our stay.We will be back!Lisa, Stuart and Banjo"
