“The Sweetfontein Boutique Farm is away from town and so peaceful and quiet, so refreshing! The farm has several different cottages with different amenities to suit your needs. Our room had a large comfortable bed and small twin bed, plus refrigerator, private bathroom, air conditioning and large patio with plenty of outdoor furniture. The farm has 3 pools, plus different restaurants, common sitting areas, and walking paths to view plants, animals and ceramic shop. The breakfasts, lunch and……

“The room was quite cramped, but it looked exactly like the pictures, so I knew what to expect. It was clean and had the basic amenities needed for a short stay. However, I do feel that it’s a bit pricey considering the size of the room and the amenities provided. Overall, it’s a convenient option for a quick overnight stop.”

“The rustic but luxurious hotel was amazing with nicely-sized room & bath. The patio was large & quiet. Common areas were spacious & food was excellent. The only complaint was the shower which was a continuous dribble of water rather than a stream.”

“Nice cozy and safe place to chill on our way to sedgfield. Host was great too. ”

“Great half way stop, cute restaurants around, bed very comfortable. Highly recommend”

“All of the details were thought of! Room was very clean and beautifully kept. We would definitely stay here again!”

“It's very quiet, very calm and very well appointed. I had a luxurious chalet with a mini kitchen and fast internet. Do bring food with you as there's not a restaurant at the hotel and you'll have to go back into Carnarvon to eat otherwise - where options are limited. Bring cat treats too if you want to be popular with the feline greeters The host is very welcoming and you'll enjoy seeing the ostriches on this working farm ”

“Clean and adequate accomodation with a comfortable room and a lovely pool and bar area. There were no amenities in our room when we arrived, not even toilet paper but this was quickly sorted out by staff once we notified them. Wi fi didn’t work throughout the stay. The bathroom is small with a shower only but adequate for an overnight stay. The pool was lovely and clean and the garden well kept. All in all a good option for a quick stay on the Jhb to Cape journey”

“Pleasant comfortable stay. ”
