“Fantastisch hotel op een super mooie locatie. Ik had het geluk dat ik een terras met uitzicht op de kerk had wat maakte dat 's avonds op je eigen terras zitten een super mooi uitzicht gaf. Restaurant in het hotel is ook super! Personeel super vriendelijk, niet iedereen spreekt perfect Engels maar ze doen zeker allemaal hun best.”

“Casa da Fonte is nestled in one of the sweetest villages within Gerês. This place was a good value for price. However, we had major issues with check in. We sent inquiries about check in days before and received no response. We didn’t get our check in information until after the check in time, forcing us to sit in a fierce, cold rain storm. The place smelled like cigarettes and the host is not on site/wasn’t responsive. However, we may have been a one off. Everybody has a bad day and we hope……

“Personnl courtois. La femme de menage vous appelle pendant la sieste pour vous demander si elle peut passer. C'est quoi l'intérêt de mettre une affiche "pas déranger " sur la porte? La chambre donne " sur le golfe " certes mais aussi sur la route et par moment c'est bruyant. Lampe de chevet arrachée du mur. Piscine géniale mais une curiosité à savoir des rallonges électriques étalées sur plusieurs mètres. En France c'est totalement interdit.

“Beautiful property overall, but unfortunately the room needs some attention. The bathroom and the area under the kitchen sink had a strong mould smell, and there was visible black mould on the shower caulking and even around the bathroom towel hook. The shower also did not drain properly, which caused water to back up onto the bathroom floor.
The host provided restaurant recommendations, which was appreciated, but unfortunately all of the places suggested were closed during our stay.

“This was one of our favorite places we stayed in Portugal. The lady who runs this is absolutely wonderful (as well as her pet goat and dogs). She even makes a lovely homemade breakfast, by request, for only 6€ a person. In the morning, we could smell her homemade bread baking. The suite we stayed in had a full kitchen, a super comfortable bed, nice bathroom and a beautiful balcony with a view of the hills. The property is very quiet and located in such a peaceful area. If we ever go back to……

“there was nothing we liked... the foto made one think it was in a green location.
it was sqeezed in between other hotels, on a very steep hill, very narrow street reception is in bmt.
staff was unfriendly, room was like a cell, window opened untoa roof and walk way, so we could not sleep w. open window... address is wrong, the place is in Geres which is a town 27 km further east, we had to backtrack after we got to the town that is noted on the reservation, which is act. the district……
