It is closely related to American flamingo (which has wild pink orange feathers all over) and Chilean flamingo (its beak is only black and white). The feathers are becoming light pink with the age. The way this one ruffles his feathers is actually similar to the way they feed themselves with their head positioned up side down with the beak in horizontal position to the water.
