The antique pink Palazzo Rocco, with white and gray side bands, was built in 1,820 by the Rocco family of Naples close to the Bourbon King of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, presumably for their summer vacation. Praiano, already at that time, had a tourist vocation. From the large and comfortable terraces of the house or from the balconies one can admire the enchanting "Saracen Tower" jutting out into the sea, the profile of the unmistakable and characteristic promontory famous as "Capo di Conca," silhouetted in the distance, and the blue color of the sea frame the fabulous panorama recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site. The ancient Palazzo Rocco is accessed via a pedestrian street, without stairs, about 100 meters from Praiano's Town Hall. About 200 meters from the house are available many useful services such as: ATM, 5 restaurants, 2 supermarkets, paletra and the public transport stop to Positano, Amalfi and other destinations. At the nearby Praia beach there are several restaurants and bars, bathing establishments, you can rent boats for daily sea trips or do tourist fishing with fishermen. Finally, from Praiano it is possible to go "trekking" by walking the famous Sentiero degli Dei (Path of the Gods) on your own or with a local guide.
