We had an AMAZING time!!! The staff was excellent and provided always time of the line service. The rooms were cleaned daily, and even though some items were a bit outdated, we felt comfortable and appreciated! The nightly shows were amazing as well. Food was okay I️ mean they serve in really big portions you can only expect so much. But overall we had a great time!

Wonderful Stay at Occidental Punta Cana We had a wonderful stay at Occidental Punta Cana and truly enjoyed our vacation. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful throughout our visit. A special thank-you to Graciela at the reception desk and Ambronix at the Asian restaurant for their excellent service and warm hospitality. We also appreciated the cheerful entertainment team and the many smiling servers who helped make our stay enjoyable. The beach was particularly impressive. We noticed that the staff were cleaning and maintaining the beach regularly, which made the area feel clean and pleasant. Whenever we needed assistance, the staff were quick to respond and willing to help. Overall, we had a fantastic vacation and created many wonderful memories. We would be happy to return to Occidental Punta Cana!

The Occidental Punta Cana resort was okay. ... needs to improve the rooms and some areas. We upgraded to the Royal level and it didn't impress us. ... there needs to be better services, better rooms, and more areas for the Royal level guests with an easy and relaxing way to enjoy their stay. The food in the restaurants and buffets was okay, some of them better than others, but needs to be improved. The staff service is excellent ... Pamela and Samuel in the Royal level bar, Yenifer around the restaurants, Henry, Anthony by the Royal level office and Ricardo the Expedia concierge. Thank you for your great services. The check in and out was pretty easy and fast. Overall we had a good time.

Rooms were very spacious and tidy. The beaches were clean and well kept. The service was great even when busy. There were many options at the restaurants and the buffets. We enjoyed always having some kind of food place open on site for a snack when needed. I would make sure to review the map and know what areas are for royal members and what aren't. One of the bars is not listed as royal but you wont get served there unless you are, and the whole left side of the beach is for royals only. Only a small hiccup but its worth noting so you are less confused. Otherwise a beautiful place and we would consider coming again.

Pretty good property. Staff were helpful, well-mannered and friendly. Food was okay; I’m quite a picky eater so this might contribute to my review on it, but I tried a few foods and they were just okay. The crepes were amazing though and so were the eggs and pasta they had. The room had good AC and the cleaners did a good job making sure the room was cleaned.

I liked the friendly staff, the abundance of food and drinks was something we enjoyed. What we didn’t like is the lack of room housekeepers and the cleanliness of the bedsheets used. Also it was clear that there was a seaweed season and they didn’t seem to be prepared to have it clean that to some extent ruined the beauty of the sea view and the opportunity to swim.

We was there only for 4 days from first day to last day they treat us like king and Queen lovely customer lovely people all around you waiting to service you with smile C. The best resort ever for caring and they have amazing food 24/7 so many activities definitely we will come back. Also if your In Punta Cana in occidental you have to talk to ms. Linda she have all the information and willing to help you with anything you need.

The food was good especially at the restaurants. The staff were helpful. Shade was a premium so it was difficult to find comfortable seating under any kind of shade. They had areas with shade but no umbrellas. I think the addition of umbrellas would be a very necessary investment. The pool was nice and cool in the mornings and of course with the sun it got warmer by the afternoon. Other than that I have no complaints!

The property is okay, but the rooms are very neglected, with a musty smell in the blankets and sheets. The cleaning staff comes very late; one day my wife and I even left our room to have it cleaned at a time when they probably wouldn't do it anyway. The food is the same every day, with no variety and hardly any typical Dominican food. There isn't much entertainment for travelers, only something at the pool near the end of the afternoon. The staff there are very friendly and cordial, especially the staff at the pool bar, who are very, very nice and interact with the tourists. For the price, it's okay, but the restaurants and buffet leave much to be desired!

the staff had horrible customer service. if i would ask a question, they would roll their eyes. The AC in my room would work for like 10 minutes a day and then stop. The pools and bars were nice, the buffet was okay, again staff would be rude for no reason!! I have stayed at other resorts here in Punta Cana that we loved!! We wanted to try another hotel out but regretted it. Will not be staying here again.

the food is NOT good, even the restaurants weren’t very good. hard to find anything for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. the rooms are very nice and spacious, cleaning ladies were great. staff were all nice and easy to get along with. good pool side events like water aerobics and challenges, but there weren’t many good shows or much to do at night, they had some live singers. nice patio out the back sliding doors of the room. lots of nice pools, but some days the pool was really dirty, others it was clean. nice pretty beach, when we went seaweed took over but that’s the timing of the year. overall good resort for your buck but may not stay again.

Check in was easy and the staff were very helpful with booking the restaurants. property was nice. Room was clean and had plenty of space for the 4 of is. The food was average at best. I do not understand why the resort does not have an authentic Dominican restaurant. As far as amenities go, the 3 pools are nice. They have a basketball court (however we could not find a ball anywhere because there was no employee at the sports center hut). They also have an archery range which was fun. The beach was a huge letdown. We are from New Jersey

First and foremost one big shout out to my expedia person who check us in and was very helpful with all our needs. Now the hotel grounds was beautiful I got the ground floor didn't like it because it had a very awful smell however the room was changed to the third floor cleaner and smell better. The hotel doesn't provides wash cloth so bring your own. The towels and hand towels needs to be thrown out as they are very dingy. The food was not to my liking but it was ok inside of the main dinning room. I visited two of the restaurants on the hotel grounds I would not recommend the food was cold and tasteless service was subpar. I do like that they provide nightly entertainment. I dont like for and all inclusive hotel food services have a certain time frame. Drinks is always flowing that's for sure. During breakfast and lunch services the room is very understaffed. However the machine for coffee and hot water for tea is available so you dont have to wait on the staff.
