Just a few steps to the beach...

We loved staying at this house with a big deck and steps to the beach. Extra points for welcoming fur friends, especially our geriatric cat, he loved sunning on the deck with us. This place is well situated in a quiet neighborhood and a short drive to excellent restaurants, stores, and wildlife refuges!!!

The house was a perfect set up for the family including the dogs. Having everything on one floor with a perfect deck and view of the bay was inviting. Easy access to the beach. The house sits on a very quiet street which made the stay even more relaxing.

Could not be happier with the beautiful Waterview and easy access to the beach. My husband even caught some Sandsharks on the Beach … dog friendly and our pooch loved it. Quiet and peaceful one of the best kept secrets of the Delaware beaches…

Great House, View and Location

We enjoyed our stay. House has a very nice layout - big great room with comfortable sofa, chairs and two dining tables - we used one for jigsaw puzzles. Great view of the bay from the deck and inside the house. Terry is an excellent host who quickly responded to the few questions we had.

Amazing stay! (again)

We've stayed here twice now in 2022 and 2023. Great location. Easy, private beach access for lazy days back and forth at the beach. Bay is great for little kids. Beach quietness reminds me of the outerbanks. Plus - great host who helped us fix a minor furniture issue quickly. Highly recommend and will stay here again next year!

Paradise

Despite low May temps and some rain..we had a great time. Sunrises were awesome. Quiet beaches. Perfect destination with a short ride to other Delaware beaches , shopping and dining. Will return!

Fabulous Broadkill Weekend

We had a wonderful visit to Broadkill Beach thanks to our stay in this lovely cottage. Great layout, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, beautiful views, and friendly neighbors. We loved being able to take our dog with us and appreciated all of the thoughtful touches especially the fenced in deck. This is our second time staying in one of Terry's beach houses and we were very impressed by the quality, the ease of communication, and the cleanliness. We had a fun night eating boiled crabs and mussels at The Surfing Crab (an easy drive from Broadkill) and were very happy to be here for the seasonal opening of the Broadkill Store (didn't get up early enough for doughnuts but the breakfast sandwiches were great!). Thanks for another great trip to Broadkill Beach, Terry!

Adorable Water Front Cottage - Brigadoon

We had a wonderful 6 week stay in this water front cottage and rented it again in the Fall! The cottage is spotless and the view is beautiful. Everything you need is here- a well appointed kitchen, nice size new TVs, beach chairs and a big deck with a large picnic table. The owner could not have been nicer and was attentive to all of our needs. It’s quiet and peaceful - just what we wanted. The sunrises and sunsets are beautiful and the beach is serene and & private. We loved the natural wild life and hiking at Prime Hook National Wildlife Rufuge right up the road. We highly recommend Brigadoon!!

Location location location. The house echoed exactly as it was presented on VRBO. Just the right size and steps to the beach! The open concept was amazing so we could cook, play games and relax all in the same room and still be able to hang out and talk to each other. Sidenote, all of the seating options was fantastic, ample chairs, and a giant comfortable couch! Aside from the waves I could’ve heard a pin drop. The location was perfect. The weather was perfect. The house was perfect. Thank you so much Terry for sharing The Brigadoon!!! We will be back :)

Excellent for Dogs and slow pace

We enjoyed our stay,host was prompt and friendly. We had our family and our dog, it was laid out well and plenty of room for all. The area was nice and everyone in the area was so nice and helpful. Rehobeth isn’t too far away if you’re looking for more to do. Otherwise great area to hang out on the beach or sit on the porch. The Broadkill store was nice they were very helpful. We talked to the neighbors who were awesome and everyone had dogs. Nice beach for the dogs to get out and off leash after 5. Mine I don’t trust so much but the other dogs seemed to enjoy the freedom. This was an enjoyable time for us even with the looming Canadian smoke and they aren’t kidding about the flys. They didn’t bother us too much but one day they were on the war path, I will say they are present all the time. All in all excellent place would definitely recommend!

Very peaceful, loved the view!

Stayed here with my husband, it is very quiet area. I loved walking to the beach within a couple of minutes and the very private beach, just what I like. The inside of the property has nice furnishings and is clean. We did see a few ants in the kitchen the first couple of days, keeping the counters clean they went away. Only a few things could have made our stay practically perfect. Not sure if the owner would consider upgrading under the house, it's all sand and moist, and has a fishy smell. I did notice many of the other homes have cement or stones, definitely makes it cleaner. The flies were bad under the house and around the bottom of the steps. The deck had animal poop on it and the glass doors were not cleaned well. Finally, the king bed is very hard and makes a lot of noise when you roll over, maybe a foam topper or something. Other than that, we did enjoy our stay, lockbox is great and easy.

The most wonderful stay

Admittingly, My husband and I usually enjoy a mountain and lake house over the beach however after staying in this property our minds have been changed. The beach was absolutely amazing. We immediately fell in love with the remote beauty of it. We were able to enjoy nature and soak in the quiet moments, which is what we needed. I felt the stress of everyday life melt away as soon as I stepped onto the property. Our daughter enjoyed going into the water as the waves were docile and calm and the sand was so soft. We spent hours just walking along the shore admiring the shells we found. We also loved how the home and beach were dog friendly as well. The house itself was wonderful. Remote enough to enjoy peace but close enough to drive to Rehoboth Beach in the evening when we wanted to enjoy the boardwalk and amusements there. The house was fully stocked with what we needed to ensure a great trip. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the deck overlooking the water. We loved the light and airy décor and admired the fox painting with his top hat and pipe! The warm water in the outside shower was a bonus and so lovely! The host Terry was extremely gracious even before we checked in. I could not ask for a better stay and host and we most definitely will be returning. This is such a special place and gem of an area and hope it remains this way. I am so glad we stumbled upon this property and booked our trip. Thanks for giving us a space to reconnect to nature and with our family.

Third time is a charm

This is the third (maybe fourth) time we've stayed here. We've stayed with just our family with young kids; plus we've brought friends and family other times - it is always a great time. It is perfect for little kids as you can go back and forth to the beach as much or as little as you want. It's the Bay so smaller waves too for littles. It reminds me of the Outer Banks but DE. Highly recommend!
