I had a flight delay out of Dc and ended up having to take Amtrak to PA. I had received a message from the hotel through Expedia about my stay so assumed that was a functioning communication technique. I sent the hotel a message I was going to check in a day late. I had paid for my hotel in full a few weeks before for my 4 night stay anyway, so I did not think it was a big ordeal, even if I had lost the one night that I had paid for. I had assumed I paid for the week of the room, and had a room. When I arrived, after travelling 30 hours I was informed by the “Manager” Rafael they cancelled my room and refunded Expedia. I was already told my Expedia that my room was active. This manager refused to give me his last name. Expedia said I needed a name of a manager including the last name to get a refund on the room. I asked for a business card and the guy gave me a blank hotel business card. The hotel is so ghetto. They told me they were sold out on a Sunday. Yeah maybe, but I was able to book a room at the Hyatt no problem. Thank GOD! Still haven’t been refunded for my stay and the level of service was horrendous. Never ever in my life have I been treated so poor and I travel often. I was literally laughed at. I was almost in tears. I was travelling by myself as well and had just been through a really horrible travel experience trying to get to the hotel. They just left me to rot on the street. I plan to write a formal letter to Hilton as I have a corporate account with them
