The wide open main living and kitchen area, like the rest of the house, is characterized by a beautiful exposed wooden beam structure. The design brings the ocean breezes in and naturally cools the house. A set of rich louvered mahogany doors slide out of the way, bringing the outside in. The two main bedrooms open directly to views of the sand and surf.
Other things to note:
Because of the very high electricity rates in Roatan, (5x that in the US), we have set 35 kw-hr allowance per day. That allowance has been more than sufficient for us and for virtually all of our guests, if there is excessive usage over the allowance there will be an overage charge of $0.50 per kw-hr, the rate charged by the electrical supplier.
