“We very enjoyed our stay at The Wen Inn over the 4th of July for a biking trip on the Root River trail. Extremely convenient and nice to have a place to store our bikes in the garage. Marj was a wonderful host who made a fantastic breakfast each morning and we enjoyed conversation with the other guests.. We enjoy our suite. Everything was clean and private. Large bathroom and good shower. We definitely would stay here again.”

“We stayed over the 4th of July weekend. We had our dog with us who is petrified of fireworks. There were still a few "booms" in the neighborhood, but not nearly as many or as close as if we had we stayed home. The condo was cozy and quiet with plenty of space for 2 adults and a dog. When we got there, it was very hot inside but once the air conditioners had time to do their jobs, it became very comfortable. We all enjoyed both the front and back decks for the view and the breeze.”

"Staying at the Alexander Mansion felt like stepping back in time to an era of elegance and warmth. Every piece of furniture and every lamp tells a story—but what truly made this stay unforgettable was the hospitality of the 80-something host, a former chef, who graciously prepared a beautiful and heartfelt breakfast ceremony for us. His kindness and attention to detail gave our journey a sense of home and heartfelt care. Thank you for not only providing a charming place to stay, but for making every guest feel seen, welcomed, and cherished. This will remain one of the warmest memories of my travels. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone seeking quiet, history, and genuine hospitality. It’s more than just a B&B—it’s a soul-soothing experience."
