"Charming French provincial stone house with big garden - only problem was that check-in normally starts at 4.30pm but the owner very kindly opened up the premises for us at 3.00pm and so we had time to walk to the nearby town of Touros - a mediaeval gem in the heart of Burgundy. Although the churches and a remarkable hospital museum are worth seeing, we were most impressed by the two Michelin-starred restaurants and we ate at Les Terrasses which was absolutely superb. "We were booked for Aug.29. On aug. 27 I received a message from Chateau de Seurre that there was an error in the payment method and to contact them to avoid cancellation. I called but got their answering machine. I messaged them that I would pay cash if credit card was a problem for them. I got no response. I went to the Chateau on the 28th, the day before my reservation to make sure there was no problem. The gate was locked and had a message saying that they were fully booked. I called again...

"The host were a very charming young couple, nothing was too much trouble for them. A very enjoyable three night stay. Both speak good English. The accommodation is in the excellent ecologically converted barn. A good sound build with recycled items of furniture. Very comfortable beds. Good shower and excellent breakfast, all very relaxed, and set in peaceful surroundings. "
