“I stayed for a week in June. The room was spacious and clean, with WiFi and an AC unit. Breakfast was what Americans might call "continental", with local sweets to go with an espresso, fruit and yogurt. The person who checked me in was very helpful and friendly, was happy to provide some local information, and checked in on me several times during the stay to see if I needed anything. The only downside was that the one-way street outside my window was a bit noisier than I would have……
“The breakfast buffet was varied and beyond the usual 4 item continental type. Eggs and bacon in a warming dish, cereal, yogurt and fresh fruit. There were toastable ham and cheese sandwiches and hot and room temperature pastries and cakes. And of course a coffee bar with a gifted barista. ”

“Hotel ristrutturato di recente e quindi nuovissimo in stile moderno. Stanze con tutti i comfort e servizi eccellenti. Unico problema il parcheggio in quanto situato all’inizio della strada centrale dell’Aquila ma , la direzione con professionalità e gentilezza ha risolto i problemi.”
“The room was clean, the air conditioning was great. A range the breakfast items were available. We were a give a double bed and a single sofa bed. The springs could be felt through the sofa bed, it was very uncomfortable and gave my husband a backache. We spoke to the receptionist who wouldn’t change the room or the bed. Told us we can book another room. The advertising the of rooms is not as we thought it would be a twin room as we selected that but the wording stated “or double room” so they……
“This property is incredibly charming! We found the staff to be very helpful, and they even made dinner reservations for us in town since August is a busy time for Italian tourists. We rented a car, and found it easy enough to find parking, though a little patience was required. This is probably not the right village for you if you have mobility issues, as it involves a lot of walking and stairs. Great hiking available right there from the property.”

“Smack bang in the middle of the old town, situated just in the pedestrianised area.
Given the location, there is no parking, but we had no problems finding free parking within a 3 minute walk.
(I'd recommend a car so that you can visit outlying towns / villages/ mountains.)
The hotel does a good continental breakfast between 7 and 10.
L'Aquila has plenty of options for bars, restaurants etc.”
