The location is absolutely perfect- a short walk to pretty much everything. There was room for everyone to rest and relax. The backyard is almost indescribably perfect! We had lots of pool time. There were only a few snags- the fridge doesn’t cool as much as it should, so unless it was early in the morning, our drinks were not as cold as we’d like. The bathroom door in the middle room is cute, but isn’t super practical with teenagers The hanging lights out front need some bulbs replaced. And the whole place could use a good, deep clean- we found lots of old food remnants as we opened the sofa bed. The house is small but comfortable. The girls loved swimming in the pool and the adults enjoyed the screened in front porch. The walk to the beach is an easy 2-3 minutes. We loved our stay. Everything was mostly clean. Updated home and furniture. The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking at home. The only down fall was the dryer did not work and there were tiny ant beds in the brick around the pool, so we had to be careful with our kids. The only other thing I might suggest for extra safety of families with small children is adding a gate between the deck and the pool. That would be extra insurance a small child couldn’t get to the pool deck if the kitchen door was left open. Short walk to beach in the morning, then back to house for lunch and pool in afternoon when beach gets busier. Front porch is perfect place to relax. Grayton Beach is gorgeous and more laid back than Seaside. Would definitely book again. Only hiccup was the lack of WiFi access. Sent a couple messages to property manager but was never given password. Because of this we couldn’t get one of the TVs working. Not a huge deal, but would have been nice to have.
