“We loved our little houseboat in Ponta Delgado. We were very fortunate that Sandra took good care of us. We arrived very early in the day and she let us sit in her office (where we nodded off after a long sleepless flight) and then allowed us to check in several hours early. We had unknowingly booked the smallest room with a single bed (that pulls out to a double) and a pull out bed. It was very nice but we wanted a slightly bigger space. “From the moment you arrive at Furnas Lake Forest Living, you feel a sense of calm. The reception was easy to find and we received a very warm welcome and explanation of the property, then were guided to our house. “Our stay at Whales Bay Hotel was quite wonderful. We loved every aspect of it. The appartments and the common areas are all kept spotlessly clean. The reception staff were really heplful and knowledgeable about the islands. The hot tub and the steam/sauna was a highlight of our day. There is nothing about the accomodation we did not like. We will very probably book again next year.”
