They had everything we needed to make our meals, but we enjoyed the Tico food, too! There were plenty of pool & a couple beach towels for us to use. The laundry room was a necessity, as we could drop our sandy things in there to clean. Bathrooms were great (no bidet tho) and the bedrooms were perfect. Did I mention the beds were heavenly?! We slept like babies! It was conveniently located to the beach. On our first walk to the beach, we saw 6 monkeys in a tree! Our biggest disappointment was that the hot tub was not working properly. The pool water was cool so the hot tub would have felt great. Jennifer answered all of our questions. And that 3rd floor terrace - so nice! We spent most of our time up there. The condo supplied everything we needed for a wonderful, memorable weekend. The condo is immaculate and offers three floors of spacious, comfortable, climate-controlled living space. The kitchen is well equipped, and there are six quiet, wall AC units to control the indoor air temp. The master bath offers a large, walk-in shower with a view of the lush trees and hills of Playa Hermosa. The outdoor shower and pool are wonderful for washing off sand from the beach or for taking a swim to cool off. The third-floor balcony was the perfect spot for morning coffee, yoga and evening drinks. You can walk to the beach in less than five minutes and choose from a variety of ocean activities and beachfront restaurants. I would have given it a 5 Star except for the issue that we’re told is country-wide. That is that you can’t put any toilet paper in the toilet. This makes for very smelly bathrooms. A simple solution for this upscale accommodation would be to provide sanitary recepticles such as are found in all public restrooms, or what is used for diapers. The location is isolated with only a small grocery store to drive to and a couple of restaurants along the beach. Other beach areas have many more shops and cafes to choose from. Except for the toilet issue, I would rent this place again if it were in a less isolated location. Luckily we had a car. The owner of this delightful property clearly cares about making every detail of your holiday perfect! From the moment I arrived, the VIP concierge service arranged everything from transportation to and from the airport, to getting groceries along the way, to recommending the best local cuisine, to trips into Coast Rica's rain forest to Zip Line through the Jungle, to an afternoon sunset sail to snorkel and explore nearby deserted beaches where monkeys roamed wild. There's so much to do, I want to go back to experience it all again...of course there's always an option to stay put and swim, read, or take a jacuzzi on the first floor patio of the complex. The duplex has all modern amenities. It's impeccably clean. The space has a great flow, shoji screens to divide spaces for privacy, a wide open living room / kitchen and bedrooms with large flatscreen TV's for family and friends to congregate, with a fantastic view of the mountains and the sea beyond. Lastly, compared to other 5 star places I've rented, the owner has amassed an amazing art collection from artists who live in the Central American region. This touch, makes for great ambience. In addition, the place is filled with handcrafted furniture made by a local artisans. The beach is only a 5 minute walk down the road. If your lucky, you'll be able to see or hear monkeys along the way. Along the beachfront, you'll find amazing ocean front restaurants which serve locally caught fish, experience delightful blue waters to swim in, and take in vistas of the mountains beyond. Lastly, I have to say I've travelled the world over, and I can honestly say I've never met a more friendly people...the Costa Rican people are inviting and gracious, and exude happiness. Take all of these ingredients combined, and you have the makings of an amazing holiday getaway!!! Fantastic location, lovely setting, did yoga & tai chi on open terrace on top floor & on deck by private pool on property. Plus super short easy walk (basically flat)to beach & back made life easy & relaxed. Property is beautifully maintained, private gate with parking, security guard always there, but felt totally safe didn't need him, he was really friendly. Great restaurants close by, had amazing day sailing, snorkeling & massages at the condo thanks to manager recommendations, plus had incredible day zip lining, & thermo pools at Rio Perdido, easy & scenic1hr drive from condo. And having lots of amenities was appreciated by everyone for the flat screen TV movie night. Best of it all, saw monkeys in the trees down the road, some beautiful birds, walked the lovely beach & swam, then felt so nice to walk in to air conditioning, clean inviting space, settle in & relax. Perfect combination of modern luxury condo in beautiful natural area. Not enough time to do everything we wanted. Property manager was amazing in arranging everything we wanted. The location was spectacular - only 30 minutes from the airport, a three minute walk to the beach and several restaurants within walking distance! The unit was so comfortable and had everything we needed. The home was well kept and everything seemed brand new. And it was well managed as we had some questions upon arrival and we got all our answers very quickly. One of our favorite parts was doing yoga on the top floor balcony in the morning with the sun rising as we had a great view of the ocean. We went on two great excursions in the next town over for scuba and snorkeling, great wildlife - whales and white tip sharks.
