Located only an hour north of San Francisco in beautiful Sonoma County, Fallen Tree Ranch offers all who visit, a peaceful retreat from the hectic hustle and bustle of every-day life.

Enjoy all the comforts of being home. Relax in the 6 person sauna, soak in the hot tub and enjoy a swim in the pool. If you prefer to be more active, the Sebastopol Golf Course is a two minute walk away, through the redwoods and valley oaks that encircle our property.

The expansive back patio has stunning views. Meandering pathways lead to the discovery of a natural play ground, complete with an incredible climbing structure gifted to us by an old fallen oak. This natural living bridge spans the seasonal brook which flows alongside the neighboring golf course. Fruit trees, vegetable and herb gardens offer seasonal delights for guests.

Wineries abound and in minutes, you can walk between the pristine vineyards down the frontage road next to the house and find two of the finest tasting rooms in the area. The stunning rugged beauty of Northern California's coastline is only 20 minutes away, with some of the finest restaurants, shopping centers and artist colonies within the same distance.

No matter what you are looking for in your Wine Country get-a-way, it can all be found at Fallen Tree Ranch. Here, beauty and relaxation come to you and if you want to explore the area, you need not go far.

From mid-August through October, Fallen Tree Ranch comes alive as the owner and winemaker crafts small-lot wines on-site in a separate barn adjacent to the property. Each stay receives a complimentary bottle of Fallen Tree Ranch Vineyards wine — the Pinot Noir earned a Gold Medal and the Rosé a Silver at a local competition. Interested guests can schedule a rare behind-the-scenes look or participate in boutique winemaking during Sonoma County's most exciting season. Guest areas and amenities remain private throughout the harvest season.

Know Before You Book

Maximum Occupancy and Quiet Hours: The maximum occupancy at Fallen Tree Ranch is 10. Quiet hours are from 9:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. Outdoor amplified sound is prohibited at any time.

Daytime Guests: Fallen Tree Ranch can allow up to 6 additional daytime guests over the maximum occupancy, making it a great choice for mid-day get-togethers. For more information, please email us or give us a call.

Parking: - On-site parking is permitted for a maximum of 4 vehicles. RVs, trailers, and campers are prohibited, per the Sonoma County Vacation Rental Ordinance. The private road is narrow in spots - please drive very slowly - heeding to the speed limit, and slow or stop for pedestrians, farm equipment, and winery/neighborhood dogs.

Pool Temperature: The swimming pool is heated by solar. During the summer months, the pool is typically around 75 degrees and will stay fairly warm through September. Off-Season Rates are significantly lower when the pool is not heated, so take advantage to rent this wonderful family home at a discount!

Pool House Bedroom: The pool house is a separate structure, with its own bedroom and attached bathroom. This is where the sauna is located.

Heat Source: Central zoned heating, electric heater in pool room. Wood fireplace in living room.

Work from HERE: A built-in desk along the extra wide hallway between the living room and kitchen/breakfast table is an easy spot to keep an eye on what's going on - or reach for snacks.

Weddings: We receive frequent requests for weddings at Fallen Tree Ranch. Although we can't allow large events at the home, Vine Hill House, a country property that does host events, is just a mile and a half down the road. Fallen Tree Ranch has accommodated a number of brides, grooms and their families who rent Vine Hill House for their special day.

Longer Stays: From October-April, Fallen Tree Ranch is available for longer stays at a reduced rate. For stays 30 nights or longer, guests are subject to a more rigorous screening process, including credit and background checks. The transient occupancy tax does not apply to stays 30 nights or longer. Monthly rate does not include all utilities.
